A new manuscript led by Raj Kumar Verma from Doron Teper's group, in collaboration with Hagai Raanan (ARO), Verónica Román-Reyna (Penn State), Gitta Coaker (UC Davis), and Jonathan Jacobs (Ohio State), identifies that host range variation within the plant pathogen Clavibacter michiganensis population is determined by a secreted effector protein.
