🌍A look into into the top African startups valued at over US$1 billion showed less than 30% female representation.
💡Latest research by @DisruptAfrica into African tech ecosystem also showed that 15.6% , 14.3% and 12.5% of startups in 🇳🇬, 🇿🇦 and 🇪🇬 have only one female founder.
Whilst we recognise the presence of women in these African companies, more effort is needed to encourage the wider participation of women and ultimately increase gender diversity efforts and this has to be led by boards.
