How do you celebrate Ss' hidden strengths?
For T @bcpssmath_k_2, a little shift in perspective can make all the difference!

ALT "I try to frame all of my students' frustrating qualities as strengths that they don't yet know how to harness whenever I can. They can't mind their own business? They care deeply about justice. They have trouble completing their work? They care deeply about doing a good job. It's my job to help them see how to use their talents to help themselves and others." —Teacher Maggie Rathgeber

Lamar in a Car returns to Room 27 ☺️
Former students told their younger siblings to be on the lookout for Lamar in a Car once the @Ravens started their playoff drive. Kids were so excited to see him when they came to math this week!
Students @sollerspt make predictions about a model before formalizing, like @MFAnnie proposes in her ignite.

Thank you @BCPSMATH for sharing your standard progression activity with us. The math teams definitely enjoyed seeing where these standards fell in the progression from 5 to Algebra. – at Baltimore, MD
