Today’s weather is not it for me at all. I miss summer! I’m on my second cup of Americano, just trying to stay alive and energized.

What do you mean $6k net per month can’t be from one job? 😂😂😂😂 Not even saying $6k is not big money (cos it is), but that you need multiple jobs to make that in a month? Please nahhhh! There are interns who make almost or exactly that per month, not to talk about certain full-time positions, and no, they’re not big tech jobs.

These guys call me “Aya” (Ah-Yah), “Eyo” (Hey-Yo), or “I-O” (High-Owe). 🙄😂😂 I’m not even offended because I see most of them genuinely try to get it right. They eventually do with practice. But you will call my name correctly. I am patient, don’t worry.

One thing I’ll always do is try to solve a problem first before asking for help. Personally or professionally, there’s a sense of responsibility in taking the initiative to find a solution before bringing others in. People tend to respect that, and are often more willing to help, when you can explain what you’ve already tried. Of course, that isn’t right for every situation, but most of the time, it’s a good place to start.

Only time Satan dignified a human with his presence like this was when he tempted Jesus. No biblical judge, king, prophet, or apostle discussed with the devil. But Osayi from Kogi thinks he’s so important that a being whose sin was Pride would visit him to “plead”. Nigerians.
“For the first time in my life, I saw Satan in my dream. He came to plead with me, I need your help.” “the Satan i saw did not have horns, he was most beautiful creature”——Apostle Arome Osayi

Genuinely asking, does he preach about anything outside of encountering Satan, demons, angels and being transported into realms and portals where he sees Joel and Abraham?

My contribution to society is I act like I didn’t notice people’s embarrassing moments just to reduce the amount of shame they feel

When someone keeps having a meltdown over something, especially unprovoked and without restraint, they may be dealing with a crisis and a deep wound in their heart. People don’t just show up angry, bitter, or “crazy” all the time. Often, it’s an expression of unresolved existential frustrations, disappointments, or confusion. Let them vent. The closer you listen, the more likely you are to realize they’re hurting and finding grounds to bleed on, even if they try to hide the why. Life is complicated. Deeply and exceptionally so for many people.

I remember this “motivational speaker-preacher” who confidently declared during COVID that people would never gather physically in rooms again, and that online events were the permanent future. They said it was divine revelation, backed by their ability to study the future and decode patterns. Well, this same preacher has been selling out physical events back to back! 😂😂 They sounded so deep and profound when they said it, and people applauded their “DEPTH.” Walahi, if you speak good English and deliver your rhetoric with enough confidence, many Nigerians will sniff your bumbum and call it divine aroma. 🤣🤣

And I also LOATHE—for lack of a stronger word—this idea which has now become a groundswell culture, that pastors and churches are beyond criticism. We are such a people who despise accountability and hastily use the name of God to condone nonsense. You can feed a typical religious Nigerian maggot and they’ll defend you to death because you wear a crucifix and hold a Bible. The rot is too deep and broad!
Many Nigerian churches are breeding grounds for charlatans! There’s a popular Nigerian motivational speaker who disguises as a pastor, and I continue to wonder how churches still haven’t realized this person shouldn’t be “dignified” with the pulpit in the manner they do. This person crams philosophical ideas and regurgitates them almost everywhere they speak and de-centers the Bible in their hour-long sermons with little to no reference to it. Sometimes, they pretentiously start with a verse or two, then completely veer off into their own multiple, sometimes disconnected motivational and philosophical rhetoric. They are eloquent, energetic, and charismatic enough to command applause from the congregation, but anyone who is quite conscious will know they are not preaching! This person spews the same rhetoric (often nicely re-garnished) on every platform, even without connection to the theme of the gathering. They lump several overcomplicated thoughts together in the name of depth so much so there’s no single harmony in their “sermon”. It’s just a plate of salads. They identify themselves by every cool, high-sounding title on their social media pages but not ‘PASTOR’ because… IYKYK! LMAO! I judge them and the churches that let them keep masquerading to be what they’re not. Motivational speaker? Oh Yes! Pastor who truly preaches? Hell NO!
