Uhuru built 6,813 km of roads in FY2018/19 - 2021/22, while public debt increased by about Sh3.55 trillion in that period. Ruto's FY2022/23–2025/26, roads built fell to 2,584 km, while public debt increased by about Sh4.53 trillion. That is 62% fewer kilometres alongside a 28% larger increase in debt.
