This bill was passed in Dec. Hundreds of venues have closed for good. Thousands have been closed for almost a full year and are hanging on by a thread. Applications aren't even open yet? WTF is happening? Asking for literally every friend that I know. PLEASE SAVE OUR STAGES.

Many live venues continue to face tough financial decisions while they patiently await the launch of the $15 billion government grant program. wsj.com/articles/live-venues…

Covid-19-Stricken Concert Halls, Clubs Await $15 Billion Grant Program

Some live-event businesses say the need for aid during the pandemic is urgent and are seeking loans through the existing Paycheck Protection Program.

complaining that new york is dead is silly. fleeing new york during a pandemic and sauntering back in when the coast is relatively clear only to complain that it’s dead is a genuinely shocking degree of bozo shit

Queer eye but they help small town DIY venues get up to code so they don’t get shut down. In return the local kids tell Antoni about bands other than The National and the Strokes.

parents who enabled/supported their kids' diy & punk stuff like practicing or having shows in the garage or driving them an hour to shows & waiting in the car until it's over or would just grin & bear their scene/emo/etc phases are the unsung heroes of the DIY community

Pretty whack that there is so much good music that we will never hear because it’s not commercially viable! A rare sincere tweet!
