Being extremely charitable. I think the shortest time for the Europe Space Agency (ESA) being able to pull what Starlink is doing in 2026 would be 2031 and it would cost 30 billion euros. Current proyections are 2029 to start & €15B. finance.yahoo.com/economy/po…

I mean, Amazon Leo has already done the level of plan ESA new venture is supposed to start doing in 2029 and it is not going to match 2025 Starlink until 2029 at the earliest.

Jet Set Radio Future Unleashed 0.4.7 ( JSRF Unleashed ) is an Original Xbox Recomp available for Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android. Not fully featured or polished yet but in runs great on Windows and Android already. I tried it at Widescreen 1440p on Android and it ran well.

Tesla did really went out and made KITT from Knight Rider real with a new Tesla Roadster? The future is now. Took 45 years, but it not only became possible, it beats the first versions of the fictional thing.
NEW: Highlight reel of all the stunts performed at the Tesla Roadster event. INSANE 🔥🔥🔥

Also incredible to see a car land similarly to the modified Delorean in Back To The Future 2.

Finally, the mash-up of the two most recently popular and very well AI made quick reels that are alternate versions of real sources that then were heavily remixed with AI into memes or variants until people didn't knew what was the real source for them.

No doubt that Asha Sharma has responded to the new developments in porting and game mashing quickly and in a way you would never see Sony or Nintendo responding. Xbox Labs is quite the obvious idea to engage with. I think Epic & Google with Unity recent news was also a factor.
Today we're standing up XBOX LABS (labs.xbox.com). Here is the note that I sent to the team: Team, The first video games emerged some 75 years ago. In the time since, there have been booms and busts, but every year there are more great games to play, more devices to play them, and best of all, more people than ever playing. That growth helped make XBOX what it is today, and we've helped shape the industry in return, from bringing hard drives to consoles and online gaming through Xbox Live to Game Pass and cloud gaming, alongside franchises that have brought millions of people together. In recent weeks, we've seen games rapidly decompiled and rebuilt to run on hardware they were never originally designed to support. Windows PC builds have been translated to run on Apple Silicon or ported to run inside a browser through WebAssembly and WebGPU, the latter now approaching 90% global browser support. Perhaps more surprisingly, we've seen many of the biggest games in the world have been remixed into the source code of another. These experiments challenge long-held assumptions about our industry: the tether between software and hardware, the boundary between creation and play, and how people discover and experience games. While it is hard to predict the future of gaming, it is easy to see the possibilities in making great games easier to access, giving old games new life and allowing more players to become creators and co-creators. These are unmistakably good outcomes for players, even when (and sometimes because) they challenge our existing business models. To explore these possibilities, I’ve asked Scott to stand-up XBOX LABS, a small group of game makers, engineers and scientists whose job is to turn emerging ideas into things our players and developers can experience. We'll build in the open, learn from what people do, and measure success by whether more people are playing and creating. I think XBOX has an important role to play here. Coding became the first major workload for agents because they can write, run, and test software. Games share many of those same properties, and people spend more than 72 billion hours a year playing XBOX games, roughly five times the estimated time spent writing code worldwide. We've spent 25 years learning how to make great games, and I want our game makers to help shape what these new technologies make possible. As we learn, we’ll share the tools we build with developers across the industry, just as we always have. Our priorities aren't changing. We remain committed to the 4Cs, to making great games, to our hardware and to being responsible stewards of IP and the communities built around it. LABS gives us a way to explore new technology that is game design led without abandoning the work already underway. Asha

I try to keep up with the Recomp/DecompsScenes + Porting of Games to PC and Android. This week it reached the point where you need aggregator sites and apps like Quiver Launcher to keep up. Over 30 games were ported to PC and other completely different 25 games got Android ports.

PC porting will easily cross 1000 titles this year. And at least 300 will have come out for Android. How does things even look one year from now for PC? 3000? 5000? And even on Android, it might also get over 1000 titles. Floodgates are now truly open. This is apart of Emulation.

James Gunn somehow came up with the easiest way to port over the peacemaker characters and leave behind the previous DCU in Peacemaker Season 2. But completely ignored it and instead fucked up everything via tons of timeline retconning without even blaming The Flash. Max Idiocy.
If green lanterns real I guess they would suck. #lanterns

And yes interview being old is not only irrelevant, it makes it worse. He was dead set on what would be releasing 2 years later even if it was already garbage before anything was filmed as he made a big deal about general treatments and screenplays having to be finished first.

Where basically nothing makes sense as it overlaps and clashes with the previous DCU continuity. Then he goes and does the most nonsensical roll out for a new DCU ever. Creature Commandoes, Supergirl, Lanterns, Gorilla Grodd and Clayface which would assume is set in The Batman C.

Would like to read a summary to all the emergency meetings Sony must have had the past 3 weeks. Never crossed their mind backlash to their horribly timed announcement ending physical discs would be even 10% of what it is now. Now everyone also knows Sony withheld PS3 BC on PS5.

Even if it was obvious to a lot of people PS3 backwards compatibility was always possible as PS4 Pro feature all along. Of course on PS5 would had not been an issue at all for it to be in day one. Sony just didn't want to put it in & didn't want to have people reusing PS3 discs

Ok, so Unity and Google are basically trying to crush smaller game engines like gdevelop, construct3 and initiatives like Opera GX Games. Among other things like Poki and the like. Because that is what Unity Spark and Google Playground is competing with.
Introducing Unity Spark — a new way to create a game, iterate on it with others, publish it, and play it - all without writing a line of code. You'll build with artist-created assets from the Unity Asset Store, and then you can take your game to the next level by refining it in a new web-based editor. Prompt it. Perfect it. Publish it. Inspired games, with artist-created assets, built on Unity. Closed beta coming soon.

You would need the code to be obfuscated, encrypted and have an end to end DRM platform to prevent any code mapping and analysis. However 3 years from now, you will be able to recreate a game or software just from Video Input. Get a base and then iterate to match it.
Necessity is the mother of invention right? AI cloning of games and software won’t last long. Every software company on the planet is likely scrambling to figure out how to avoid this. To have their code base be somehow…. not copy-able. I’m curious what the solution is. But I think there’s gonna be some crazy piracy innovation coming soon. Somehow having code that is impossible to copy will perhaps be the next big innovation. Am I missing something?

AAA going cloud only for the first few months might be the next denuvo. But that is over half a decade away for it to be economically viable. And it still would eventually need to release as installable software.

Woah! Big if true. If at launch it will then mean you have to buy the game and then pay for Xbox Cloud Streaming. Which is the big question, will the new Xbox Cloud Gaming only subscription is going to launch with GTA6? Is going to be available also on One & Series consoles?
Xbox has secured exclusive GTA 6 streaming rights at launch Xbox will be the only cloud gaming service able to stream Grand Theft Auto VI when it launches. The deal’s length is currently unknown, but it gives Microsoft a major advantage at launch. With Rockstar yet to announce a PC version, Xbox Cloud Gaming could also become the main way for PC players to stream GTA 6.
