To our community and the broader Web3 ecosystem, I am compelled to address a serious issue concerning Indigo formerly of The Phoenix Project, who has recently re-emerged in the Web3 space. Previously, The Phoenix Project suffered a significant exploit, and Indigo's subsequent actions have raised major concerns about his suitability to lead any project. After the exploit, rather than taking responsibility and working towards a solution, Indigo made a series of poor decisions that only exacerbated the situation. He consistently made the wrong choices at every critical juncture, leading to further distrust and damage to the project's reputation. Additionally, it's important to note that Indigo engaged in deeply troubling behavior, including making death threats to various members of the community. Following these threats, Indigo disappeared for several weeks, only to reappear now, looking for financial backing from the very community he previously put at risk. The project funds, which should have been used to mitigate the damage caused by the exploit, were instead misappropriated and funneled through a series of intermediary wallets, ultimately being off-ramped into centralized exchanges. These transactions indicate a pattern of using project resources for personal gain rather than for the benefit of the community. It is evident from these actions that Indigo is not fit to be in charge of any project. His behavior has been inexcusable, and his re-emergence with requests for financial support is deeply concerning. I strongly advise against associating with Indigo or any projects he may be involved in. The community deserves leaders who act with transparency, integrity, and a genuine commitment to the well-being of all participants. I urge everyone to exercise caution and to ensure that those entrusted with leadership roles are truly deserving of that responsibility.
