Have you seen what #Project2025 has in store for librarians and teachers? If you haven’t read the plan yet it’s time to take a closer look.
Replying to @AuthorsABB
Smearing all work that includes LGBTQ content as pornography has been the script for book banners for years now. Imprisoning creators and registering teachers and librarians as sex offenders? This is new. This is extremism.

A little thread about Project 2025's projected impact on book bans. The tldr? This is the most extreme, national level attack on our freedom to read we've ever seen.

This trope linking LGBTQ as child predators is an offensive message that has proliferated the last three years. How much harm is this doing to LGBTQ teens who are looking for acceptance? Our collection development policies must serve all our teen patrons.

There's always something you can do. Project 2025 is not destiny. It's a book. Good thing that book isn't banned so we could read it, and understand exactly what we're up against. The vast majority of Americans are not extremists. It's time to make our voices heard.
