What you might reasonably expect from the light rail die hards, recognizing the very serious first and last mile problem we have that greatly diminishes its value if you dont live near a station.

France spends more on social services than any country on earth. And it is never enough for the leftists. If you give a mouse a cookie, he’ll want some milk to go with it. And now the mouse has joined forces with the Islamists who will burn France to the ground for sport.

California Democrats have closed prisons and are clearing them out. Every year brings a fresh set of new laws aimed at releasing violent offenders from prison: murderers, child molesters and rapists.
A California serial rapist who was once sentenced to 124 years in prison is now free after serving roughly two decades behind bars for 86 felony counts, including poisoning, rape, sodomy of unconscious victims. The perpetrator, a great-grandson of cosmetics magnate Max Factor, was released from prison on Oct 11.

That’s the thing though, the freeze-out isn’t happening. The “grown-ups” are too afraid of the “Islamophobia” label to put their foot down on any of this.
It’s precisely because we are right about crime that this seesaws back-and-forth. They want to be soft on crime. They want to let out criminals. They want fewer police. When they get their way, everything goes completely to shit and somebody has to come in to clean it up. Having cleaned it up, people look around and wonder why there are so many people in prison and the cycle restarts.
It doesn’t end.
One year ago today in Toronto……….. The most heartbreaking moment of my life (so far). Still can’t believe Hoffman threw nothing but junk to Julio and he still chased it #Mariners

I’ve been looking at different flights and just shaken my head at how obscene the prices are
I get the fuel costs but that only explains so much
Alaska is at a disadvantage on fuel costs with so many west coast based routes as a % of their portfolio of flights

From my side, getting home from the airport (after a late flight) usually requires
(a) 30 minute train ride and then ~20 minutes of walking along spotty sidewalks
(b) 20 minutes on the train and then another 20 minutes on a bus and a 10 minute walk from the stop + however long that standing there waiting for the transfer takes
(c) a 15 minute drive door to door
paying for almost 45 minutes of my life back and not having to lug around my checked bags on transfers is usually a pretty good value proposition. it shouldn’t be!

What a load of BS if you are threatening to destroy my home and I defend it and you are scarred or killed as a result I have done nothing wrong but you did.

I can't speak to French law, but in America, you can use reasonable force to stop someone from stealing from you.
And that's for a few good reasons.
1. Police can't be everywhere
2. Self-help can deter crime
3. We don't want to punish you for a normal human response.

This idiotic take is the reason why so many addicts are dying on the streets of Seattle regularly.
Stupid urbanists can’t wrap their heads around the fact that people who live in one neighborhood may have friends or activities in other neighborhoods 😂😂😂😂😂😂

higher density fixes that problem as you wouldn't really need to leave ballard or u village if those neighborhoods have everything you need. also good reliable bus will help that too. but america is too far from that for now

Nobody who has other options is going to drag their luggage onto a metro bus, ride to the link, drag their luggage into the train and then take the nearly mile long walk from the station to the terminal.

Unfortunately that wasn't the case for Seattle last year.
He was 9 for 48
0.188 BA
2 Extra base hits.
He rebounded with one of his best regular seasons of his career though.
I wish Seattle would sign long term but I know they won't and he wants to go elsewhere(understandable)
