Can confirm. This is me and my server.
I appreciate the support of everyone involved. It means the world to me and to the players because it means we'll be able to do more going forward.

"Every person deserves to be treated with dignity" is a very harmful thing to say to someone when it's followed by a very clear lack of dignity towards you because of who you are.

Cutting teens off from the Internet can prove to be more harmful than beneficial, imo. Bans and restrictions aren't the answer.
Education and better moderation can help children blossom and find support in places that they never could otherwise.

This is what I hope for.
I'm happy to reach people who can benefit from @AutCraft, but inspiring people to do more is my true goal.
It doesn't have to be big, it just has to help. The more people who do that, the larger the impact it will have.

Not being heard is a big part of an autistic child's trauma later in life.
It's better to be told "no" a thousand times in a thousand different ways, and have the reason why explained each time, than to be told "no" once and never get a chance to ask why.

Back in 2013, a dad named Stuart Duncan saw his autistic son getting bullied on regular Minecraft servers and decided to fix it.
He built Autcraft—a special server just for autistic kids and adults, plus their families. It blew up into a huge, super-safe community where everyone can build, chat, and make friends without any mean stuff.
Stuart, who's autistic himself, even quit his day job to run it full-time. Now it's a welcoming spot for thousands to hang out and feel understood.

I'm all for protecting children but unless kids are getting an education on internet safety, recognizing misinformation, identifying scams, etc... all this does is keep them in the dark.
13 year olds will verify themselves into a world they are not prepared for.

Happy Hanukkah!
As we light the first candle on the Autcraft server and our Jewish players gather around, I wanted to take the time to wish a Happy Hanukkah to all who celebrate this tradition everywhere.
I wish you all the joy, peace, and light this holiday season.

Autcraft, Social Media, and an Important Lesson.
Misinformation isn't always "lies", sometimes it's a distorted and twisted truth over time and many rewrites.

Stuart Duncan left his job in 2013 as a web developer to create Autcraft after his then 8-year-old Cameron was bullied. This server was designed as a safe haven for autistic children to play and interact without the fear of bullying. It's not only for those with Autism, it's for supporters, friends and family as well. He tells Good News Movement they have 5-year-olds to 60-year-olds. He added that he's able to run and monitor this for users thanks to donations—he refuse to charge for Autcraft because "the children who need it most are the ones who have parents that either can't or won't pay for it."
He explains while kids still deal with bullies on the bus... "we give these kids an opportunity to not be afraid for an hour or two out of their day and just enjoy a game with friends. Is that so bad? Shouldn't everyone get that opportunity??"
As if that wasn't impressive enough, he doesn't just automate stuff and leave for the day. He and his staff monitor to make sure nothing bad is happening. "While we do that, we also watch for the good things too. We reward players for being helpful, and kind, and friendly, and generous, and supportive. We recruit from within too so my staff are made up of parents, siblings, friends, and of course, autistic people themselves. Those who prove themselves responsible and able to treat others with respect, we offer them a position to do more. They must be 13 or older but we give people roles with responsibility and I've even personally written letters of recommendation for some of them who have gone on to get great jobs."
