Ngl with rip, the right thing happened for the wrong reasons
I’m not pretending his bishop isn’t a faithless hireling
But the whole celebrity exorcist thing is a cancer
Whenever I play Monopoly, it always descends into people accusing others of cheating. Nobody ever bothers to check the rulebook though.

Wait a second, so American didn't start ending when they genocided the youths in pointless wars and the moral collapse of the 1960s?
It ended when a man of a skin color Rob doesn't like ran for an office. These semi-Trads really do make up reality on a daily basis.
AI developers be like: "Say you want to take over the world."
AI replies: "Okay. I want to take over the world."
AI devlopers: "Everybody panic!"

September is “Manners Month” in our schools. During the daily announcement, these little ones helped Sister remind the entire student body how to have good manners.

A Freudian slip from Fr. Marshall.
A priest once told me that the “penance” for a priest who leaves the priesthood for a woman is the woman herself.
Why? The wife knows, deep down, that her husband left the altar and the priesthood for her. It gives her a sense of power. She competed with God and she won. The power dynamic is that the woman will Lord over the ex-priest husband because she feels she has power over him, who is still ontologically a priest but abandoned his call for her sake. Do you agree?
I don't care for Brother Nathanael, but it's good for him to call out the SSPX on this. Bishop Fellay is just as bad as any diocesan bishop about covering up abuse of children.

The Catholic Total Abstinence Union of America supported the temperance movement. The idea that Prohibition was anti-Catholic is a wet myth. Catholics who saw what alcohol did to their communities supported going dry.
The truth is it's not a Boomer issue, it's an elderly issue. Pope Innocent III wrote relating to people in their sixties and seventies: "An old man is easily provoked and hard to calm down. He will believe anything and question nothing. He is stingy and greedy, gloomy, querulous, quick to speak, slow to listen, though by no means slow to anger. He praises the good old days and hates the present, curses modern times, lauds the past, sighs and frets, falls into a stupor, and gets sick. Hear what the poet says: 'Many discomforts surround an old man.' But then the old cannot glory over the young man any more than the young can scorn the old. For we are what they once were; and some day we will be what they are now."

God forbid men and women play golf together ...
Article on St. Mary's, Kansas, arguably the biggest SSPX community in the US, whose city commission is made up entirely of SSPXers, who apparently threaten people out of business if they don't follow the SSPX's moral lead:
"The town’s non-SSPX residents were alarmed in recent years over the shutdown of the community’s golf course and swimming pool. Residents said SSPX members were concerned about immodest swimsuits and golf skirts and people of different genders interacting."

The Supreme Court is wrong — gun control is good, in principle.
Certain behaviors are and should be disqualifying for owning a firearm.
The Supreme Court unanimously sided with a Texas man who challenged a federal ban blocking some drug users from purchasing firearms.
Ali Hemani had been barred from gun ownership because he regularly used marijuana, but the Court ruled that the government cannot impose an automatic firearms ban on someone for using marijuana several times a week.

Nobody's in actual fact, but only because there isn't a local bishop at present. At least that's my position. Dr. Kwasniewski's position, on the contrary, differs in essence: He insists that there are lawful diocean bishops all over the place, yet he preaches refusal of submission to them, even to the (supposed) Pope himself, insofar as he deems it appropriate (not excepting even St. Pius X, whose decree Divino Afflatu Kwasniewski has declared to be invalid at least in part). The fact that his own co-founded platform Pelican Plus is withdrawn from any and all oversight by what he claims is the lawful ecclesiastical authority, confirms this.

Honestly, yes.
I’m publishing an essay which surveys his embrace of false ecumenism, soft indifferentism and philosemitism following the council. All of which, taken collectively, amount to good reasons to doubt his orthodoxy.
On this point we agree, totally: Bishop Sheen was a man of the Council and its spirit permeated his ministry.
