Auggie is officially out of the woods. He’s home and starting his recovery! Thank you to St. Francis and St. Augustine, and to all of you for your prayers and good wishes. They clearly did the trick. ❤️❤️❤️
We went to visit Auggie at the hospital today. He wanted to come home. We’re picking him up tomorrow morning at 10 am.
Dear friends of Auggie: Our guy has a massive internal growth that presents major complications. He is in the hospital since last night. Please pray for him and for us.
You all have some powerful prayers. Auggie is still in the hospital, but we’re much more hopeful that modern medicine can make him healthy again. Very unlikely that it’s cancer. Please keep up your prayers and good thoughts. Thank you for your tributes of kindness and love.
Auggie is extra love and attention at the hospital. He got a long walk today among grass and trees, lots of kisses, and vets and techs giving him his meds in cream cheese. We sent his favorite Gracie’s Doggie Delights, and braunschweiger, too, to fatten him up.
I mentioned to the desk clerk that he gave nose kisses, and she laughed and said: “Oh, we know.” 😎❤️

I've probably read this poem 100 times, but when the world seems particularly gone to hell, it still brings me to tears.
