And how does it maintain the ability to do this? What attributes of the protocol community and ecosystem have to exist so that this is the case even 100 years from now?

What do you think Bitcoin was invented/discovered for? How do you think it maintains that purpose/properties?

You are rooting for your captors dude. Bitcoin controlled by government regulated mining pools and changes controlled by corporations will neuter its purpose.

I think that is clearly implied. Else you might as well stick with Bank of America. Bitcoin without self custody and peer to peer payments will end up useless.

The only part of that Texas doesn’t have is walkable. But that’s impossible in an area so large. Other than that it beats NYC. So get a car and enjoy.

Does it not bother the Bitcoiners that the protocol is completely exposed to a minor activated soft fork? AntPool and Foundry can do whatever they want? And they answer to the governments. What am I getting wrong?

No it won’t. I used to believe it would. I show this type of stuff to my friends and family all the time. They just roll their eyes and go back to ordering DoorDash. People don’t care about this like we do. Fiat slaves don’t care. And 99.9% are fine with it.

Separation of Money and state fixes this.
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency reviewed nine of the nation’s largest banks and found all nine had policies that required, encouraged, or influenced staff to deny or limit service based on customers’ political or religious beliefs or lawful business activity. Debanking people for their political beliefs is a threat to every American’s liberty.

Fiat clowns marketing Bitcoin for followers. Any plane with Dan Held, a fiat maximalist and David Bailey, the biggest scammer since SBF, can run out of fuel over the ocean.

A few regulated mining pools who answer to FINCEN & The CCP can easily block any transaction from being mined. At least to the best of my knowledge atm. They also can refuse any user soft forks.

Because the Western Cape infrastructure works. Then go to Jberg. Now tell me who to vote for.

The problem is that BTC is rapidly headed towards centralization. I wish you could at least see that.
