Vortexes are simple devices commonly used in labs to mix small vials of liquid. But have you ever tried vortexing your finger? This watercolor is a tribute to the vortex - a simple but indispensable lab device

That’s due to the lack of endurance activity. The human metabolism is optimized to endure, to be able to walk or run slow for long periods. Chimpanzees in the other side are mostly resting and doing short and fast activities.

This is Vader. He is currently in the snowball fight of the century out there. Requesting back-pup. Really needs someone with opposable thumbs. 13/10 would follow into battle

"How to cover letter"; a brief thread from a scientific editor's perspective Yes, in brief editors do read cover letters although like myself, most pay far less attention than to the abstract and main elements of the paper! First, a few "do's"

As a wind industry guy once put it to me with dark humour, anyone that concerned about bird fatalities should be rounding up domestic cats and flinging them into the blades of wind turbines

I'm running to be Premier again in 2023. There's so much opportunity in Alberta and there's so much frustration with the current Government. Alberta's greatest resource is its people and I'm going to fight for all of them. #ableg #yyc calgarysun.com/opinion/colum…

The UCP claims $14B in COVID-19 related spending & is about to post its largest deficit in history but not a single Albertan is better off for it b/c it includes 4.7B in corporate handouts, $7.5B for Keystone XL & 120M for War Room, all of which have not created any jobs. #AbLeg

According to the UCP, closing 20 parks and privatizing 164 more will save $1.14 per Albertan. Jason Kenney talks about a "fiscal reckoning" but I think most Albertans are OK with $1.14 of their tax dollars going to save these parks. Agree? #abparks edmonton.ctvnews.ca/they-bel…
