Another reminder that the state, the club, the investment funds, and the sponsors are all controlled by the same family. Everything is a related party. City are a state owned club. There are no firewalls.

Revenue growth 2007–2014:
🔵 Man City: +509%
🔴 Liverpool: +91%
Liverpool had 18 league titles and 5 European Cups, yet somehow couldn’t compete commercially with a club that had won just 2 league titles.
Nothing unusual about that growth whatsoever.

Can we all just agree that that definitely wasn’t our record attendance today 😂

Unbelievable achievement.
And massive props to the Man City commercial department for generating the funds to buy, build and pay a squad of such talents over more than a decade.

🚨 A new Etihad Stadium attendance record for Manchester City today, with 600,817 packed in for the game against Ipswich.
Bringing in an estimated £320m in new club revenue 🤯

#Fifa #GianniInfantino #Beichte #Ablass #Vatikan

The IFR's "State of the Game" report confirmed football isn't a "real" business but some of the numbers are scary. sotg.footballregulator.org.u…
My favourite comments concern the Premier League's competitiveness. Yes you can calculate it - so I did. Red markers show 115FC titles...

I appreciate why Villa, Everton and Fulham fans like the idea of billionaires being able to spend freely.
However here is the reality of that. They fall further behind without spending rules.
Not by a little. Astronomically.
Only Newcastle benefit.

Took FSG 10 years to take one of the countries top 2 clubs to a league title by investing well over time. Wasn’t an overnight fix. But we should allow fucking NEWCASTLE to be buying their way into the title picture within 5 years?! Fuck off.

People can complain but the rules do actually do what they were designed to do.
They're not called the "levelled out the playing field" rules. They were called profit sustainability rules....
The affect they had is genuinely staggering
It's obvious who actually understands business sustainability and who thinks PSR rules are there just to stop "Fulham" from competing.
Remove these rules, and numerous clubs go bust when their owners stop funding them after the losses pile up with no real revenue foundation.
🚨 The Independent Football Regulator has released its 'State of the Game' report. It highlights a game loaded with both revenue and risk.
- Clubs brought in £9bn in revenue in 2025/26.
- English teams receive an average of £80m from qualifying for the UCL. Chelsea won over £84m for winning the Club World Cup in 2025.
- Clubs have grown 10x faster than the UK economy since 1992.
- And yet 94% of clubs still make losses.
- 32 clubs stated they couldn't survive 30 days without owner funding.
- 20% of Premier League clubs and 60% of EFL and National League teams are technically insolvent.
- Sale of select assets, such as a women's team or a hotel, to comply with financial rules is termed 'creative compliance', and something the IFR will proactively look at.
- Report notes "increased enforcement and litigation could raise costs and reduce the attractiveness of investing in English football."
- Recommendations include a focus on revenue distribution, reducing losses, financial and corporate governance, and formulation a National League-specific strategy.
Other points from today's Manchester launch:
- IFR has within its power the right to force Manchester City's owners to sell, or assess #MCFC's license, if they deem the Premier League charges warrant this. Won't get involved until the case, inclusive of appeals, has concluded.
- Chair David Kogan reiterated he will resign if he ever feels the IFR's independence is compromised. "My independence is absolute".
- Confidence the EPL and EFL will agree a new funding deal soon. EPL add: "We believe the proposal we have made to the EFL, which was unanimously approved by Premier League clubs in July, meets the objectives the IFR has set out in its Report. The League remains committed to concluding a long-term partnership with the EFL that is fair, generous and balances the interests of all clubs."

The irony is that Man City's actual commercial revenue stripped of owner additions is pathetic, way less than it should be for a club that successful. The owners have been cheating so long and so blatantly that they haven't even bothered to seek actual market value.

Arsenal sacrificed 20 years of competing to fund the Emirates.
Liverpool sold Torres, Sterling, Suarez & Coutinho in the space of 6 years to expand Anfield & rebuild the squad.
Spurs sold Modric, Bale, Kane & built a new stadium so they can finally spend.
ORGANIC growth to COMPLY with the RULES.
Nobody made Newcastle blow their money on dogshit footballers.

Back in 2014, City offered 100k per week to Micah to stay and be a backup player. 100k per week for a backup player and genius Micah thought all the finances were above board for the club 🤷

These rules were emphatically not created by any "red cartel" (a fiction later fabricated by City conspiracists), and actually UEFA's FFP initial rules were effective in reducing losses at top-flight clubs across Europe by billions in FFP's early years. 2/n

Why are city fans ignoring the fact that at least one of the sham arrangements was created retrospectively to balance PSR cause they didn’t win the FA cup as expected.
And also that they hid wages and image rights off the books.
It wasn’t as simple as which bank account the money came from.
