Support Carrick going back to.basics and tightening up the midfield, but felt another forward (Cunha) was needed on the hour yesterday. Overall, thought it was a bit too negative.

Most semi-competent teams know how to take advantage of an extra man. But it takes a modicum of intelligence to understand that and sadly we know our owners, execs, coaches and players are thick as mince.

The owners of every club are killing the game for the working man
Leeds United Supporters’ Trust have said they strongly oppose the introduction of surge pricing at Elland Road, following comments from the club’s chairman.

I'm somewhat surprised by the likes of Santos and Tielemans getting criticised. Don't think they played badly at all. As for our business in the summer, I don't particularly have a problem with any of our incomings. The issue is that there weren't more of them
Mental this. Actually working for Russia.
Last night, Ukraine 🇺🇦 suffered from a large restriction access to Starlink, which speed was limited to 160km/h and later to 70km/h
This action taken by Elon Musk or the Pentagon 🇺🇸 puts an end to mid-range strikes against Russian 🇷🇺 logistics in occupied territories and to the interception of Russian Geran-2/4/5 drones by interceptors.
Long-range strikes remain unaffected, as they do not rely on Starlink, and the same applies to FPV strikes. Nevertheless, this is a free boost for the Kremlin, handed to them on a silver platter by the United States.
For several days, Ukraine has been observing a ceasefire regarding Russian energy targets, whereas Russia has not, having struck at least 26 targets overnight. It will take a few hours for an official reaction from the United States to emerge.
This move sets a serious precedent that will influence the decision of many states regarding the use of Starlink, in Europe and Asia, since the US don't seem to be a reliable partener anymore at all.
I had the feeling it May that we were at a real crossroads between pushing on and sacking another manager before Christmas. Some things i cant blame the club for, but others are just so needless. Kicking off with supporters and even avoiding cheap cover at LB/CF absolutely daft.

One day, international cricketers will realise that throwing themselves headlong into advertising hoardings in a doomed bid to save one run when over 300 behind is not noble commitment to the cause but really fucking stupid.
Today is not that day.

If Dick Harris wife died in pain against cancer, it does raise a question: are ALL daughters and dick harris himself going to have late stage cancer soon ?
Seen wide men get a yard on a full back about 5 times in this match so far. Ours manage it once a match tops recently, hence the reliance on counter attacks.

State of that lot around the dugout in South after generational season ticket holders got shifted 📷
I wonder when the penny will drop within the club as to the connection between the supporters they seek and this type of thing. It's only going to get worse binning off ST holders. You cant serve that shite up and expect unconditional support from people paying 85 quid minimum.
I keep going on about this. Who is watching us thinking that Holland and Carrick have answers in possession? They are about 5-1 down against teams with 10 men. I'd be shocked if they didnt even know their weaknesses. Try something or resign and let us get on with our season.

6 points from 6 games and we've played against two promoted teams, ten men at home twice, and the bottom team in the league twice.
These blues that are still polluting comments portraying themselves as plucky underdogs who have shrewdly elevated themselves to the top of football...
Do they know how ridiculous they are, or have they bought into the gaslighting from the owners? It's hard to tell.
Carragher and Rooney the only 2 people I can be arsed with on tele. Imperfect but openly transparent about any agendas.

Erm. Not answering the question there, David. How about a simple yes or no? And if you have any proof the PL have hired external PRs to shill for them, please share and I’ll get digging.

Totally none of your business Nick. But do not make assumptions. Why don't you ask the Premier League who they have hired?

Have you ever in your life read such verbal diarrhea and false equivalencies to try to find a justifiable pretext for cheating? Tribal loyalties does stupid things to us sometimes, Guardiola’s legacy is tainted Guillem no matter what Brad Pitt did in a movie lol
I watched the F1 film with Brad Pitt the other day, and there’s a moment where his character asks to add something to the car that isn’t really in the rules. The FIA punishes it, but the team can still race with the earlier car. It made me think.
In F1, the best teams live at the edge of the regulations. Sometimes the FIA allows what they’ve found, and sometimes it says that goes too far. Occasionally the rules are rewritten afterwards.
Now, City. I’m not defending them. A commission found they entered into sham agreements and broke the spending limits. A sham is an arrangement that isn’t what it claims to be, so that’s a different thing from using a gap nobody had spotted.
City deny it and will appeal. But I find it useful to ask/reflect on how people inside the club see it.
From their point of view, PERHAPS they believe they were doing what elite competitors do: looking at the rules, finding the limits, challenging interpretations and moving faster than the regulatory system.
From the outside, you might look at that and say, “That’s cheating.” From inside the organisation, they might say, “We found something nobody had thought of.”
If you believe you’ve found a way to bring money in, more or less within the rules (and the commission said it was not in the rules and it was cheating), you might tell yourself you’re just being a sharp competitor.
We are all asking “did City cheat?”. But I find this question interesting too: “how did City come to believe they weren’t?”
And understanding a mindset, or trying to, isn’t excusing it.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Manchester City were found guilty of 114 out of 115 charges by an independent commission. The comparison made is not in the same ball park to the level of rule breaking Man City have committed.
