“How can we help people talk about fitting plant-based diets into their lives? We need to reduce before we can fix and mitigate.”- Ashely Allen, Chief Sustainability Officer, @oatly
Power Panel at #climateweeknyc - @cathmckenna, Andrew Steer @BezosEarthFund discussing what’s stopping us from getting it done “finance is going to dirty, it needs to go to clean!” #climateemergency
Here at #climateweeknyc, Australian Energy Minister on #RenewableEnergy “there is no transition without transmission”. Big push for govs to invest in clean infrastructure to tackle the #ClimateEmergency
Looking forward to judging youths' innovative solutions to some of the world's biggest challenges with @Unite2030 at #Camp2030 today in #NYC. #ClimateWeekNYC, #UNGA is kicking off!

While the heat shocks get worse, in Europe & China, science finds evidence that rapid melting of the Arctic grinds the Jet Stream to slow and split, making bad things worse by blocking weather systems...This is a key insight + 1.2°C leads to 40-50°C shocks bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
Great progress on #climate at the #G7, but seriously, no deadline on fossil free?! cnn.com/2022/05/27/energy/g7…
Encouraging to see the #ClimateEmergency solutions discussed in #AspenIdeasClimate i Miami. Now we need action! nbcnews.com/science/environm…
Yes! About time! #KetanjiJacksonBrown confirmed.
Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson was confirmed to the Supreme Court 53-47, mostly along party lines but with three Republican votes.
When Vice President Kamala Harris called the final tally, the chamber erupted in cheers that echoed beyond its doors. apne.ws/MEUHgSa

Betty White broke barriers, defied expectations, served her country, and pushed us all to laugh. Barack and I join so many around the world who will miss the joy she brought to the world. I know our Bo is looking forward to seeing her up in heaven.

We came to Glasgow following a path to Disaster (2.7°C). We leave Glasgow on a path to Danger (just below 2°C). Road from Glasgow is more action, more ambition, on finance, equity, 50% targets for 2030 & net-zero by 2050, and nature climate solutions. theguardian.com/environment/…
Even for those of us at #COP26 it’s been difficult to tell - was it success or failure? It’s never black &white, but I always look to the wise Mary Robinson @TheElders as my guide. We need more urgent action.
Mary Robinson as #COP26 concludes:“COP26 has made some progress, but nowhere near enough to avoid climate disaster. While millions around the world are already in crisis, not enough leaders were in crisis mode. People will see this as a historically shameful dereliction of duty.”
Thanks @BCSECleanEnergy for a great discussion. We are making progress on energy and buildings. #COP26 must take action on #Food !

"What are the gaps and what are the forgotten sectors?"
@AshAllen350 of @oatly talks about how a few years ago, buildings weren't in focus on #ClimateChange policy, but today #EnergyEfficiency is well integrated.
Now, food systems need to be in the spotlight as well
