Exploring using AI to peel back layers of reality on anonymized Street View captures revealing the surprising identities of the Argletonians. AI imagined reportage photography.
It is so nice to see Homes of Argleton Lane trending on OpenSea. There have been sales from all three Argleton Lane collections and it means the world to me. I want to send out a huge thank you to all our new collectors over the last couple of weeks.
The idea came as a response to the Google Clips camera in 2018. It was a great idea, a camera that knew when to take a photograph. However it was trained on Google photos that were not very interesting. That is when we set out to change all that, a camera with attitude!
The best of Robot Jacqui’s images became part of the dataset we used to train our various GANS, which became part of the source to our first collection, 'Homes of Argleton Lane'.
Robot Jacqui was my first ever AI experiment. After spending years and countless hours searching through Street View on the computer, my eyes were killing me and I needed another solution.
That is when we decided to use AI to build and train Robot Jacqui and with the help of our very clever friend François Naudé, we set her off roaming around the world searching and saving pictures it thought I would like.
I just wanted to introduce you to 'Robot Jacqui', who helped me find some of the Street View images that I used to train the GANs that created my first collection ‘Homes of Argleton Lane’.
