The letters should show that this is patently false, even though this entire thing is a joke anyway. Can’t believe the way that supposedly neutral and “serious” people are talking about her positions, really showing who bases their opinion on what.

Hey so this is absolutely terrifying
ProPublica: Trump Appointees Wanted a Voting Machine Hacked
A few months into President Donald Trump’s second term, political appointees at the Department of Homeland Security made an unusual request of its agency focused on cybersecurity: Secretly acquire a voting machine and hack it.
The appointees wanted the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency to procure the machine, examine it and report back the findings so they could be given to the White House, according to two former administration officials with knowledge of the request.

‼️ DHS political appointees asked CISA to secretly obtain a voting machine and hack it
The findings were only to be shared with the White House, and the vendor was not to be told of any flaws
CISA employees feared they were being asked to participate in political interference

Last month, Trump’s DHS asked its cyber division to try and a hack voting machines.
BUT:
-They directed them to NOT alert voting machine companies if flaws were discovered. Violating policy.
-Order to only report directly to White House.
That’s NOT typical at all!!

it's been a week since Trump began targeting Ilhan Omar and, unlike the raid on Bolton last year which saw condemnations from NYT, WaPo, WSJ on Day 1, theres been zero editorials in these outlets condemning it. It also went totally unmentioned on all four Sunday shows yesterday.

When Trump raided John Bolton last year it was met w/ immediate outrage in the opinion pages of NYT, WSJ, WaPo, Atlantic & New Yorker. Since Rep Omar was raided Mon––and subsquently threatened w/ deportation––these same outlets have been silent. I wrote about this double standard

Trump’s investigation of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has backfired on the president and his party by firing up Minnesota voters to vote against Trump and his candidates.

Important message from @BarackObama about Trump's outrageous and dangerous raid on @Ilhan and what it means for all of us when Trump weaponizes the DOJ against his political enemies.
It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.
To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically.
Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country.
Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case.
Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve.
In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota.
The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

i assure you the underlying merits of Omar's case is not why there is little media outrage over it. They uniformly rushed to Bolton's defense and he pled guilty in June. If elite media is simply assessing the merits, they'd have been muted on his case too. But they werent. Weird!

They ignored it because it's a non story. Most journalists can look at the evidence and realize there's something off about Omar's story. As for the "three weeks before midterms" nonsense, if Omar died tomorrow, she would still win.
It's a 95% Dem seat. Knock it off.

the President targeting a sitting member of the opposition party for arrest and deportation three weeks before the midterms would normally be a major story but it was ignored entirely by all four Sunday shows yesterday because the target is The Wrong Race, Religion and Ideology.

Yeah this is the **9th** error that has “backlogged” voter registration records, in mostly left-leaning districts.
Unsurprisingly State officials (who openly support Paxton) have not done anything to help clear the backlog.
Texas county officials said they learned Thursday about another state error that has backlogged thousands of voter registration records.
The total number of backlogged records wasn’t immediately available, but the secretary of state’s office told election officials that not all counties were impacted. bit.ly/4hQS7v6

For reasons I can’t explain, I took off my ballistic helmet before the attack on Abu Falah and left it under a tree. After, a young Palestinian approached me, smiling, wearing it. He handed it back and pointed to a deep white nick. A large stone had hit him square in the helmet.
