Fellow entomologists, gardeners and allotmenteers - do you think you could help with our project by keeping an eye out for leaf miner on Swiss chard, beetroot and spinach? More info on why we want to do this can be found in the link below! @LewisSpurgin

Activity from adult CSFB has been low across all sites in recent weeks. Our Cambridgeshire site has recorded higher levels of larval scarring, with approximately 1/4 of plants scored this week showing signs of invasion @AHDB_Cereals
ALT Core site locations 1 = Hertfordshire/Essex (six sites) 2 = Kent (east) 3 = Cambridgeshire (northwest) 4 = Dorset 5 = Yorkshire (north) 6 = Suffolk (north) 7 = Wiltshire (north) Map indicates approximate locations.

These giant tachinid flies (Tachnia grossa) are some of my most favourite late summer flies.
If you're really really gentle you can hold them and see their beautiful yellow feets.
These flies lay their eggs on caterpillars such as those from the Oak Eggar moth.
Our Suffolk site continues to have the highest cumulative number of CSFB caught in both ground and raised traps but the Kent and Cambridgeshire sites are following closely behind! For regular updates visit ahdb.org.uk/csfb @AHDB_Cereals

Great morning out recording content on IPM practices to reduce CSFB risk on farm 📽🎬 The content is based on findings from recent @AHDB_Cereals funded CSFB projects and will be released on our website in the near future. Watch this space 👀
The number of beetles at our Cambridgeshire site are now on the rise and have been primarily caught in the 1 metre traps. Crops at this site have emerged with the first leaf unfolded. For regular updates visit ahdb.org.uk/csfb

The latest results from @AHDB_Cereals funded CSFB monitoring are in! The highest recorded cumulative number is still at the Suffolk site but the Kent and Yorkshire sites are slowly catching up. For regular updates visit ahdb.org.uk/csfb

I'm talking IPM @CropTecShow on the @AHDB_Cereals stand this week, highlighting the @IpmDecisions platform and building a one stop shop for decision support, as well as the @H2020IPMWorks network demonstrating IPM in action, and @OPER8_EU promoting non-chem weed management

I'm currently looking to collect adult cabbage stem flea beetles from oilseed rape grain stores. If you're a grower local to Shropshire or Staffordshire currently harvesting and infested with csfb, please let me know 🤚 #csfb
