📢SCHEDULE TIME📢
Very short stream week for me, I'm going on a work trip this Saturday.
BUT we gonna have a continuation of Tony Talks Together: the new podcast Ima try and make a regular thing! This week, featuring @Kat14VT! See ya there 😎
❌STREAM CANCELLED❌
Mentioned this on last stream, but I gotta cancel stream tonight and focus on some projects. Also I completed AC8 💪
Decent chance that streams next week will be very light (1-2) as I gotta finish said projects before my work trip
Regarding the karaoke effects processing with a DAW discussion that’s been going around, I generally agree with this. So long as there’s nothing distracting in your performance that takes your viewers out of it, the audience can enjoy a lightly-processed performance just as much as a full-on production. Sometimes a free OBS reverb plugin is all you need
THAT SAID, I’m always supportive of peeps learning new skills! If you are interested in enhancing your performance with a more complex effect chain, I say go for it! Skills you learn in doing so can be applied to recording/producing your own covers too
Word of warning tho, audio processing is quite the rabbit hole (it’s literally a profession lol) so it’ll take a lot of time and effort to get things rolling. So I definitely wouldn’t recommend spending absurd amounts of money on equipment and programs from the start. A lot of free options and resources out there, try those first!🤙
Seeing a bunch of "I didn't know my karaoke sounded bad" posts.
Consider this... nobody actually cares. I'm saying this as an audio engineer. People don't usually notice good audio. What they do notice is excessively bad audio and, more importantly, distractions.
Loud background noise, bumping your desk, plosives, hard sibilance (S sounds), just anything you'd become distracted by and that takes you out of the moment. If you've not heard a single complaint from your general audience, then please don't go out and spend a bunch of time and money on things when it's not always needed.
This is especially true if you have 0 idea what you're doing. You can easily take audio from sounding acceptable to sounding freaking awful.
Just be entertaining, someone the audience can love and cheer for. Your karaoke is meant to be a journey the fans get to take with you. I'm there because I want to see my oshi sing, not because she has some bullshit running a DAW and plugins on her PC.
Banger. Banger all around 👏
🎶 NEW COVER 🎶
I've been so all over the place lately, but as a thank you for bearing with me - i've released the recording for one of the songs I sang at this year's MO'shi Expo.

📢SCHEDULE TIME📢
I have a NEED to finish AC8 as soon as I can (so I can focus on some other large important projects👀)
But ye here's hoping for a relatively chill work week 🙏🙏🙏
