Some of you have turned choosing a spouse into a checklist of physical attraction, sexual chemistry, height, money and “my spec.”
And then you wonder why you keep overlooking good people.
My husband wasn’t my spec oh. 😂
But over time, through friendship, I listened to him speak. I watched how he thought. I discovered how intelligent he was.
This man knew things!
And before I knew it, his mind became attractive to me.
That’s something this generation needs to remember: attraction can grow when there is substance to discover.
You don’t have to be sexually obsessed with someone on day one for the relationship to have potential.
Sometimes, you meet a good person and the attraction deepens as you discover their character, wisdom, values and how they see life.
Don’t reduce choosing a life partner to how badly you want to kiss them.
You’re choosing somebody to build a LIFE with, not just somebody you have chemistry with.
