Cigna just sent my dead wife, who succumbed to cancer last August, a DENIAL letter for a test to help diagnose her tumor markers. WTF is even going on with medical insurance companies? She left this world 6 months ago BECAUSE she couldn't get proper treatment. We don't hate these people enough.
First trip boondocking in my new campervan. North of St. George Utah. It's beautiful here and the weather is fantastic.
I don't know what to do at this point. The pain of losing my wife last year to cancer is crippling me. I don't expect a bunch of random people on X to have the answers but does anyone have any suggestions for dealing with crippling grief? I don't even want to leave the house at this point.
I often tell people who ask how I’m doing that unless you have experienced a loss that completely breaks your world, it’s almost impossible to understand the magnitude of grief. You can imagine it, sympathize with it, even try to understand it, but you cannot truly know it until you live through it.
Grief isn’t simply missing someone. It’s waking up every day knowing the person you loved, the person you built your life around, is never coming back. You don’t just grieve the person. You grieve the life you had with them and the future you thought you would share.
A coworker took a group of us to Roy Hutchins BBQ for dinner tonight here in Dallas. I'm telling y'all (I've been in Texas for two days, yes I say y'all now) it was a life changing event. I've never experienced anything like it.

Update guys. I called my dentist office and spoke to a human. He said, "Just so you know, we're closed on Saturdays."
My dentist uses an AI assistant now.
My follow up for teeth cleaning was scheduled for today, Saturday April 11th.
Their offices are not open on Saturday, which I realized by the locked doors upon my arrival.
I called and spoke with "Mia", the AI office assistant.
Mia informed me I had made a mistake because the offices are closed on Saturday.
Mia then confirmed my appointment for today, Saturday.
Mia then apologized for the confusion, which still felt like it assumed I was the confused party.
Mia then said someone would contact me ASAP to get me rescheduled, hopefully not on another Saturday.
We are in for some wild times ahead friends. 🤖

As a previous, and now regretful vegetarian for 20+ years. Tonight's dinner for the family is cold seared ribeye with rosemary and garlic. Am I doing this right? 😉
I think it's time we had a serious conversation about "healthy snacks" in this country. I must have missed the memo where Nutella bread sticks and Ruffles were healthy for you. This is the vending machine in my hotel gym by the way.
