Copine-6 is a Ca2+ sensor for activity-induced AMPA receptor exocytosis dlvr.it/Sz7rGp

Superb and very important study!! As we previous found, calcium sensors are important for the receptor trafficking (AMPAR-endocytosis) and synaptic plasticity. This study illustrated Copine-6 has an important role of AMPAR-exocytosis and lead to LTP.👏👍
Our study that shows the neuron-specific Copine-6 as a calcium sensor for activity-induced AMPA receptor exocytosis is now out in @CellReports. doi.org/10.1016/j.celrep.202….
Congrats to Anson @an5on_jz and Joanne @JoanneJangSE on your paper!

@rhuganir and I are delighted to share our new preprint on calcium permeable-AMPA receptors in PV interneurons! Why are there so many CP-AMPARs in this particular GABAergic cell-type? Why are PV interneurons typically lower in feature selectivity? Read on!

Iain is a brilliant person, that has been an inspiration to all that have met him. He brings meaning to our Parkinson's research, and has supported our work in many ways. Now it is our turn to support Iain, if you have the means, please donate.
I have Young Onset Parkinson's Disease, need brain surgery & have started a GoFundMe.
My neurologist told me, even with health insurance, I need to find approx $15,000 for Deep Brain Stimulation to stop the disease taking over completely. Read more here:
