Worth a read and sadly it’s hard to disagree….
I’ve supported Arsenal for over 30 years. I’m a season ticket holder and we’re successful.
Yet I’ve never felt more disconnected from the club.
I’ve written about why, and what I miss about the game I fell in love with.

Interesting. Been saying for a while that I think @KemiBadenoch will be our next Prime Minister. She speaks in common-sense language that resonates with voters, and is very likeable. Burnham already struggling, Reform/Greens toast, Lib Dems irrelevant.

Pollster note: The changes are within the margin of error, so it's difficult to distinguish signal from noise, but I suspect there is some degree of "conference bounce" there, with the Tories getting a boost from their coverage, and Labour declining again as the temporary impact of their own conference fades.
It may well be a temporary Tory boost, but for the record it means this is the first time that we have had Reform back in third place since 2024 (it’s technically the first time since early 2024 – but we didn’t poll between the election and January 2025 while we were reviewing methods, so we don’t know exactly when Reform overtook the Tories).

Everyone at AFC Wimbledon was immensely sad to hear of the passing of our dear friend and colleague Michael ‘Mikey T’ Taliadoros.
Our thoughts are with Mikey’s family and friends.
Rest in peace Mikey, a Wimbledon legend in every sense.

Awful news. @MikeTRadioWDON has died. The voice of @AFCWimbledon commentary, I’d heard him all over the world.
Mike had just celebrated his 2000th consecutive Dons game; his recall was encyclopaedic and unmatched. This explosion of joy rightly went viral: a fitting tribute. RIP

A huge thank you to @DougieKeen and @AndrewHarding9 for the donation of tickets for Sunday’s FA Community Shield in Cardiff. We have passed the tickets on for use by Care Leavers from South Wales.
It’s a really interesting observation because Pickford clearly has amazing reactions and makes brilliant saves. But that 1st goal for Argentina should have been saved.
🫣 "It UNSETTLES me watching [Pickford]!"
😬 "Top goalkeepers really know where they are every moment between the posts... I don't think he does!"

Owen took a lot of stick for his comments after the Mexico game. In hindsight he was absolutely spot on. Bravery at this level isn’t a Dan Burn header.
Watch Spain at 1-0 last night. That’s courage. That’s bravery. And then watch England at 1-0. What’s the difference?
We are a better team than Argentina, I’ve no doubt in my mind. But we deserved to get beat in the end. In fact, it could have been 4-1.
Bringing on 3 defenders at 1-0 up. What message does that send? I wrote it in my Daily Mail column after the Mexico game. Until we understand that courage and bravery is controlling possession under pressure and not booting / heading it up the field 40 yards then this will always be the end result.

And Andros Townsend ought to know.
He played for nine games for them… 😂

This is disgraceful.
Why the f*ck has this monster been released, and why isn’t he being deported today?
🚨 BREAKING: Ringleader of a Rochdale grooming gang, Shabir Ahmed, has been released from prison today.
The Pakistani migrant was jailed for 22 years in August 2012 after being found guilty of 30 child rape charges involving girls as young as 12, but released this morning after serving less than 14.
Ahmed was one of the nine men from Rochdale and Oldham who were found guilty of exploiting girls at two takeaway restaurants in the Heywood area of Rochdale.
Due to the Immigration Act 1971, he will not be deported back to Pakistan.

Every single person who still cringes at the memory of trying to bullshit their way through an interview or exam question: today, the slate is wiped clean. Set down your burden of shame. Nothing - nothing, I say - could touch this.

Every other day a new motorhome appears in my mother-in-law's drive and Neil hands me another bucket full of jewellery and cosmetics. I can only assume he's got himself a part time job I'm too busy to ask about.
