There we are promoting a book when suddenly @AFCWimbledon legend, Mikey T, dies. There’s a chapter in We Shall Not Be Moved devoted entirely to a goal scored against a Buckinghamshire team he despised. None of the words are as rich as Mikey’s commentary. It’s what he did best.

I speak for everyone who knew Mikey T when I say that we’re all devastated by the news. An incredible character and infectious personality, as many have said he was the voice of Wimbledon in every sense. Things will never be the same, rest easy my friend, we won’t forget you 💔

An American student moved to London to study Sports Management and ended up REVIVING a football club that hadn't played competitively for 120 years... 🤯
East Sheen FC were founded in 1873, produced TWO England captains, then disappeared in 1906.
Matthew Evans discovered the club while researching forgotten football teams, read around 400 newspaper articles from the 1800s to piece together their history, and spent just £15 registering them again.
Now, 120 years after their last competitive game, East Sheen are back.
This is basically a Football Manager create-a-club save in real life! 😂
