M23 security services reportedly arrested a senior political official and launched an investigation in recent weeks into an alleged internal plot to reorganize the movement’s leadership.
The alleged plot underscores deepening tensions between M23’s military and civilian wings as the group has expanded the scope and scale of its rebellion, although these divisions may cut across the military-civilian divide and also reflect preexisting internal fractures. 🧵⬇️

🇳🇪☢️⚠️ | On December 10, 2025, the ship believed to be transporting yellow cake to Lomé, Togo, left port, suggesting that Niger and its sponsors were abandoning transport via this route.
The convoy was then moved to Niamey airport, where there had been no sign of activity for several weeks.
Today, new satellite images (taken on 10th January) suggest that the country is now transporting the yellow cake by airlift to an another unknown (for now) location.
Three sites at Niamey Airport caught my attention due to the increase in activity visible from the sky.

A few days ago, I mentioned the Schevchenko as a potential carrier of yellow cake.
Today, it appears that the ship has left the dock in Lomé but is still anchored offshore.
This could potentially be explained by the delay that the convoy would have incurred by remaining in Lomé. The ship may have left the dock in order to avoid paying additional fees.
This remains to be confirmed.

🇮🇱🇨🇾 Security at a Cyprus airport stopped a 24-year-old Israeli man and found 4 human embryos in his luggage, stored in a cryogenic container labeled "Life Pack," bound for Mexico via Istanbul.
The embryos came from an IVF clinic in northern Nicosia operating without proper authorization. No health ministry approval had been issued to remove them from the country.
He's charged with illegal transport of human tissue. The embryos are in evidence.
The question nobody's answered yet: whose embryos were they, and who was waiting for them in Mexico?

The IDF launched another attempt at advancing towards Haddatha today.
Based on currently available information, Israeli forces infiltrated towards the eastern parts of the town:
- According to statements from Hezbollah, clashes took place around the Hussainiya.
- Hezbollah also stated that they targeted Israeli positions at the pond.
- I geolocated an image published by Lebanese media which shows what appears to be a controlled demolition in the eastern part of the town.
