I am shocked by the political inertia in the face of what Israelis -settlers and soldiers- are doing in Palestine, where terror has become a daily reality. In the West Bank, torching century old trees and poisoning livestock. When will the EU take action against Apartheid Israel?

1,
This is today, A Jewish settler, guarded by Israeli army soldiers, poisons Palestinian owned sheep and goats in the eastern part of al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.
Today is not an ordinary day.
Today marks the anniversary of the loss of my son, Rakan.
My little boy, who came into this world after five years of waiting, lived for only nine months, and then was taken from us in a single moment under the bombardment.
On October 9, 2023, at around 2 a.m., I returned from my work as a journalist through the fire and destruction, only to find that my family was buried beneath the rubble… and Rakan was among them.
I cannot describe what it feels like for a father to search through the rubble for his child, or how a heart can accept that the little face that once filled our home with life will never come back.
Three years have passed… and I still find myself looking for him in the details of my life.
In my children’s laughter, in children’s toys, and every time I hold a child in my arms.
I once thought time would make the pain easier. Instead, it has only taught me how to carry it.
And today, as I hold Yaman in my arms, I feel that Rakan is still with me in another way.
Yaman is not a replacement for him, and he never could be.
Every child has a place in their father’s heart, and Rakan has a place that no one can ever take.
Rakan…
You were only nine months of my life, but you left behind a lifetime in my heart.
You left this world so young, but your memory grows with me every day.
May God have mercy on my son Rakan and make him among the birds of Paradise. May He reunite me with him one day, in a place with no bombardment, no fear, and no separation.
I miss you, Rakan… more than words could ever express.
It did not start on 10/07….

Do you remember him?
The heroic director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya — a historic symbol of courage, resilience, and humanity, shaped by the days and the hardships he endured.
They besieged him, injured him, pursued him, and threatened him.
His son, Ibrahim, was killed in an attempt to force the evacuation of Kamal Adwan Hospital. Dr. Hussam buried his son in the hospital courtyard, refused to abandon his patients, and returned to continue his medical and humanitarian duty.
He even refused to leave Gaza, despite holding another nationality along with his family.
He stood with a strength that even mountains could not withstand.
A kind heart.
An icon of resilience and integrity.
He was arrested and subjected to abuse after his voice grew hoarse from pleading with a silent world until the very end.
Free Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya.
This is a photograph of imprisoned doctor Hussam Abu Safiya beside his son Ibrahim, who was killed while we were under siege inside Kamal Adwan Hospital.
Today, Dr. Hussam remains detained in Israeli custody, facing ongoing allegations of torture and abuse. His family and supporters say this is the price he has paid for refusing to abandon his patients and continuing to provide medical care despite the siege, bombardment, and danger.
He was a doctor who carried a mission — and he paid for his commitment to that mission with his freedom, his safety, and the life he devoted to serving others.
His wife has made an urgent appeal to the world:
“Save my husband before it is too late. His only ‘crime’ was saving the wounded and treating the injuries of children.”

Do you remember Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya?
The director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, who remained beside his patients despite the siege, bombardment, and danger. He lost his son Ibrahim, then returned to continue his medical duty.
Dr. Hussam was detained in December 2024, and since then, there have been continued calls for transparency regarding the conditions of his detention and for his release.
A doctor who chose to stay beside his patients paid a heavy price with his freedom and safety.
Freedom for Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya.
Safety and protection for all doctors and patients in Gaza.

Houston Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair was told by an NFL official to remove the name of Wafaa Akila, an 8-year-old Palestinian girl killed in Gaza, from his eye black during the Texans’ Week 2 game or he would not be allowed to continue playing, according to a league source.
According to Reuters, Wafaa Akila was killed earlier this month by an Israeli airstrike.

A father’s love still finds a way inside a crowded tent in Gaza
He gathered a cardboard box & the simplest scraps he could find & built a swing for his little girl.
For a few precious moments she could laugh and soar, a small, stubborn spark of joy
Gazze’de bir sağlık çalışanı, İsrail'in öldürdüğü çocukların başında dünyaya sesleniyor:
"Kim öldürdü bu çocukları? Ey özgür dünya buraya bakın! Bu mazlum halka yapılan katliam karşısında neredesiniz?"
Gazze’den yükselen bu feryat, insanlığın vicdanına sesleniyor. Bu feryadı duyan var mı?
