Samsung may use rival TSMC for Nvidia's custom HBM4E (NVHBM) base dies. - Samsung reportedly agreed to use TSMC's 3nm process for the base dies in Nvidia's custom NVHBM HBM4E chips. - The memory core die will still be made in-house on Samsung's sixth-generation 1c process, while standard HBM4E for other customers stays in-house. - Samsung is reportedly also testing its own foundry as a backup in case TSMC runs into capacity constraints. Galaxy Fam 👀 Be honest, If Samsung gave you the choice: Snapdragon on every Galaxy flagship OR Exynos on every Galaxy flagship Which one are you choosing? No brand loyalty. Just performance, battery life & thermals. 👀

Intel Nova Lake-HX and Nova Lake-H die shots are leaked, and these chips are half Intel, half TSMC 👀 So the chip is not one single piece. It's 6 small tiles joined together on one package. The main CPU tile, where all the cores sit, is made by TSMC on 2nm (N2P). The rest is Intel's own: - Hub tile (72mm²) with 4 LPE cores, Intel 18A-P - I/O tile (58mm²), Intel 18A-P - GPU tile with 4 Xe cores (26mm²), Intel 3 Nova Lake-HX - 8P + 16E + 4 LPE cores - CPU tile is 104mm², the biggest one - Whole package is 12x30mm (360mm²) There's also a 12 Xe GPU version, where one big GPU tile takes the place of the small GPU tile + dummy tile Nova Lake-H - 4P + 8E + 4 LPE cores - CPU tile is 55mm² - Package is 12x23mm (276mm²) GPU, hub and I/O tiles same as HX Intel is designing the chip but its most important part is coming from TSMC. Finally Microsoft is fixing the basics 👏 Microsoft announced a big Windows 11 update that makes Windows up to 20% faster to run. The speed boost shows up everywhere, from boot to Start, File Explorer and Search. On 8GB RAM laptops Windows can now keep up to 2GB more of your open apps in memory instead of pushing them to slower storage, so jumping between apps and tabs should feel smoother, and Widgets now load only when you open them, freeing 200MB+ of RAM. You can also finally choose where the taskbar sits on your screen, plus there's a new Photos app and better phone to PC connection.

Replying to @Samsung
@Samsung may be making the Galaxy S27 Ultra look cleaner from the front and chunkier from the back. A new leak claims the phone will have slimmer 1.28mm display bezels, down from 1.32mm on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. At the same time, the camera housing could grow slightly thicker to 4.69mm. The Ultra is also expected to adopt Samsung's new wider camera housing design, while the base Galaxy S27 and S27+ may stick with a more familiar vertical camera layout.

Exynos is coming back to Galaxy S27 Ultra?? 👀 Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 is getting too hot in S27 Ultra testing. Phone is heating again and again and slowing down when used for long time. So Samsung told Qualcomm fix it by mid October If Qualcomm can't fix it, Samsung can put its own Exynos 2700 (2nm) in the Ultra. First time in 5 years. Mass production starts end of this year Nothing confirmed yet but this is big news for Exynos

I absolutely love the details in OPPO ColorOS. Check this out - these animated effects are something some manufacturers will never be able to match
ColorOS 17 is here, and I think OPPO is moving in a very interesting direction. As someone who spends a lot of time studying smartphone animations, I'm particularly interested in the new Living Flow Design. The fluid transitions, translucent layers, and sense of depth all show how much attention OPPO is paying to the little details. Performance is another major focus. With the new Laminar Flow Engine, OPPO is aiming for smoother app launches, faster loading, and better long-term performance. OPPO even claims that ColorOS 17 can retain over 90% of its original smoothness after a simulated six years of use. And then there's AI. From Mind Space and Mind Pilot to AI Photo Agent, OPPO is making AI more deeply integrated into everyday smartphone experiences, while also emphasizing privacy protection. I think this is exactly where smartphone software should be heading: smoother animations, more consistent performance, and genuinely useful AI. I'm especially excited to experience these animations for myself. The smallest details often make the biggest difference.

BOE's new 8.6-gen OLED line in Chengdu (B16) still has cracking issues, even after 6 months, and that's slowing its bid to become the 3rd iPad OLED panel supplier after Samsung and LG. 👀 Cracks don't happen often, but even 2–3 broken glass sheets out of 1,000 is a big problem. When a sheet breaks inside the machine, production stops for half a day to a full day. BOE started making test panels for Apple's iPads in September, and Apple hasn't approved them yet. Samsung and LG are already supplying OLED panels for Apple's iPads, starting with the M4 iPad Pro #iPad #OLED #BOE

Microsoft is building its own AI chips so it relies less on Nvidia 👀 The new chip is called Maia 300 and goes into Microsoft's data centers from 2027 ⚡ Up to 7x faster at running AI than the previous chip (Maia 200), when 96 chips work together in one rack 🧠 288GB of super-fast HBM4 memory (8 stacks) moving data at 18 TB/s 💪 Raw power: 13.8 petaOPS at FP4, 6.9 petaOPS at FP8 🏭 Made by TSMC on N2P (2nm-class), split into chiplets: 1 main compute die, 2 I/O dies, 4 memory dies 🔌 950W per chip 🔗 Chips talk to each other at 3.2 TB/s, and up to ~12,000 Maia chips can be linked as one cluster 🔋 Microsoft says it gets about 40% more AI work per unit of electricity than top GPU systems – The older Maia 200 chip already powers Copilot today – Microsoft plans to make Maia its main chip for running AI across its products from 2027 #Microsoft #Maia #AIChips
