“Do not allow your heart to take pleasure with the praises of people, nor be saddened by their condemnation.”
~ Imam Al-Ghazali
Perhaps the answer isn't to choose between success and relationships, but to pursue a success that serves a purpose beyond yourself.
Life’s strange paradox:
Those who chase success regret the time they sacrificed with family
Those who prioritise family sometimes regret the success they never chased
Both end up longing for the life they didn’t choose
Perhaps the grass is always greener on the road not taken
Everyone’s complaining about inflation and the struggling economy. Meanwhile, Apple’s most expensive iPhone yet, the iPhone DUO, sells out in 15 minutes, with deliveries pushed to January.
Apparently, the economy is struggling… but not everyone’s wallet knows it

A final wish from Bollywood actor Mushtaq Ahmed Khan is being widely shared online and it is deeply moving.
According to reports, his will stated that he had already given his three daughters their full Islamic share of his property.
He reportedly left the remaining property to his wife and two sons, while setting aside one kanal of land as a trust for a mosque, with the wish that a mosque be built there.
The will was reportedly handed to Imam Muhammad Owais of Bilal Mosque in Mumbai to be read before the funeral.
His eldest son is also reported to have said that after his father’s burial, he would lay the foundation of the mosque and build it with his own money so that the reward would continue to reach his father.
A lasting legacy is not always measured in wealth. Sometimes, it is measured by what continues to benefit others after we are gone.

Please marry someone who is close to your level of imaan and your halal–haram ratio. Don’t marry a “project” thinking you’ll fix them. That mindset doesn’t build marriage, it builds resentment and ends in divorce

Carl Jung believed life truly begins at 40, viewing the first four decades as "research"—a preparatory phase focused on building an ego, establishing a career, and meeting societal expectations. The second half of life, starting around 40, is for inward exploration, authenticity, and fulfilling one’s true self (individuation) rather than pursuing external validation.

The evidence is clear: deactivating Facebook and Instagram improves our emotional state.
🔸This study confirms what we see in clinical practice: deactivating social media leads to a measurable boost in happiness and a reduction in anxiety.
🔸Whether it is the break from cortisol-inducing social comparisons or the reduction in news-induced stress, the brain benefits significantly from the silence.
🔸The emotional gains are significant for those over 35 and young women, respectively.
🔸Sometimes the most effective 'prescription' for mental well-being is simply clicking 'deactivate.'
🔸A digital break is not just a trend; it is a necessary reset for emotional regulation and brain health.

Your blood pressure at 30 can decide your heart attack at 50.
A major 2026 study just confirmed what we often underestimate:
BP is not just a number, it is a long-term risk signal.
1. Even small increases matter
In a 24-year follow-up of young adults:
🔸Every +10 mmHg systolic BP was associated with 22% higher CVD risk
🔸Every +5 mmHg diastolic BP was associated with 20% higher risk
2. “Normal” is not as safe as you think
🔸Risk starts rising from ~120/80 (not 140/90).
🔸Earlier studies (Framingham, CARDIA) show a continuous relationship. The higher the BP, the higher the risk (there is no clear safe threshold).
3. It is a lifetime risk, not a 10-year risk
🔸Young adults often get reassured: “Your risk is low.” That is misleading.
🔸Low 10-year risk does not mean low lifetime risk. 🔸Damage begins silently decades earlier.
4. Stepwise risk escalation
This study showed that higher BP category was associated with progressively higher CVD events
5. Diastolic BP matters more than we think (in young)
🔸Elevated diastolic BP showed strong association with future CVD
🔸Diastolic BP often reflects early vascular resistance + sympathetic overactivity.
🔸This is especially relevant in younger populations (including Indians).
6. Same risk for men AND women
Contrary to older beliefs, BP-related risk is similar across sexes. There is no “protective advantage” among women, if BP is high.
7. What is the safest zone?
🔸People with BP <120/70 had the lowest long-term risk of cardiovascular diseases.
🔸That is your real target, not just “below hypertension”
8. This is not new, but the association is now stronger than ever
Multiple studies confirm that higher BP is associated with higher CVD risk. The risk starts early in life and tracks over decades. Hypertension is a cumulative exposure disease
9. What does this mean clinically?
We need to stop thinking:
❌ “Treat only when BP >140/90”
✔ Start risk awareness much earlier
🔸Because by the time SBP crosses 140, vascular damage is already underway
10. The real takeaway
🔸Blood pressure is not a snapshot, it is a trajectory. 🔸What matters is how early it rises and how long it stays elevated.
✅If you are in your 20s–40s, SBP 120–129 is not “normal reassurance”, it is an early warning. Act early to prevent irreversible disease later.
