We are beyond thrilled to be partnering with KMI to showcase the actual cost of cleaning up space; now within Wayfinder. This major leap forward finally gives us a real notional price of the cleanup to come and ways in which our partners can begin to engage satellite owner/operators and nation states alike on the hard work ahead to capture and responsibly remove and hopefully recycle some satellites and other objects that are dangerous in our space environment. No more single use satellites in our shared near earth ecosystem please. It's time for ride sharing and managing these capabilities and ultimate clean up of our environment. From Space... For Earth.

Nearly 1,000 are dead in Maui (by my estimate) nearly a quarter of which are our keiki under age 14. Our hearts are broken, our community in tatters and fires still with hot spots flaring. Our offices were evacuated but were spared and our home came within 1,000 yards from the fire; burning over 2200 acres with that fire line headed our way. A wind change saved our home. My team and I started providing support with food, fuel, supplies and mobile trucks running 24x7 with WiFi internet through starlink, charging, and freezers at the following locations: Napili Park, Napili Marketplace, Honokowai Beach Park, Canoe Beach, Lahaina Luna Intermediate school, high school, and Princess Nahi’ena’ena elementary for first responders and survivors. We’ve made over 17 trips into the west side including those communities cut off in the burn / exclusion zone. 10 local businesses, with over 500 combined employees, banded together to form Makai.org to help those homeless and devastated and to make sure we keep generational Hawaiian homes in generational hands. Our group of companies have over 30 of our families without homes and everyone has taken someone into their homes. The predators are descending on our community. My family is alive and safe. Lahaina is gone. While other organizations planned; it was just locals helping locals, community distribution centers, and local community organizations with volunteers from Kauai and big island and Oahu who flew in to help. With exception of the federal sites; in over a dozen trips we never saw a single NGO or anyone from the big nonprofits at any of the sites where locals were living in their cars, in tent cities, and where help was most needed. Thanks @peterjhebert for helping us spread the word about Makai.org. We’ve formed a local group of 10 companies with over 30 families displaced within our businesses and are immediately responding wherever we can; many of our teams going in twice a day. Soon, it will be about helping support those longer term. Privledged to be able to help and to have the capability and work with a team of people who care so deeply.
