Dan Campbell on running more effective meetings.
1. Teach in bursts
2. Make it interactive
3. Keep it simple
4. Be a teacher
In my experience in professional sport, one of the fastest ways to lose players is to waste their time.
There's a reason every year the NFLPA report cards ask players to rate Head Coaches on two things.
1. Openness to feedback
2. Efficiency with time
Both are a signal of respect.

Culture is NOT a saying or statement posted on your locker room, or weight room wall (or a slogan you slap on a t-shirt), and refer to when it’s “convenient”.
It is a living/breathing organism that’s GOT to be nourished and poured into DAILY!

This is very concerning as Twitter/X has played a vital role in college recruiting over the past decade. There are hundreds of TXPSFB players that have been recruited to play in college that likely wouldn’t have had the opportunity without the existence of social media. I fully understand the dangers of social media, but eliminating it for our teens is a bit extreme. Instead, let’s meet the kids where they are at and teach them how to use social media in a responsible way.

This overreaching bill banning minors on social media... "Will be putting Texas high school athletes at a disadvantage for several reasons, including getting information on programs and connecting with coaches etc." #txlege @GregAbbott_TX @footwork_king1

It’s graduation weekend in Ram Country! Before our Senior Class of 2025 takes the stage tomorrow, we’d like to take a moment to recognize one of our own coaches for a major achievement.
Coach Justin Saenz, who has been an integral part of Allen Academy for the past two and a half years, earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management this morning from Tarleton State University!
While working full-time on staff, Coach Saenz has dedicated himself to our students by coaching multiple sports — including middle school and varsity football, middle school basketball, and both middle school and varsity track & field.
He’s not done yet — Coach Saenz will continue his academic journey at Tarleton State, pursuing a Master’s in Kinesiology with a concentration in Athletic Administration.
Congratulations, Coach Saenz! Allen Academy Athletics is proud of you and grateful for everything you do for our students and community!
