I can’t believe we have to say this, but the annihilation of two major American cities — more than 5 million people — is not a “small price to pay” for Trump's illegal war.
Neither are the 19 American troops and 3,000+ Iranians who lost their lives.
Our president is unhinged.

Marco Rubio has announced that Europe may yet awaken from its long slumber and rekindle the fire lit here millennia ago. It is a remarkable thing to hear from the representative of a country that has just sailed past 40 trillion dollars in debt and now spends more on interest than on its own military.
One wonders what exactly we slept through. While dozing, Europeans somehow arranged to live several years longer than Americans, to see a doctor without remortgaging the house, and to take August off. Six of the seven happiest countries on earth are European, according to this year's World Happiness Report, and the United States is 23rd.
So thank you, Mr Secretary, for the wake-up call. If the generational shift you are hoping for means tariffs struck down in court, bond yields at their highest since 2007 and a government that insults its allies for sport, we would rather stay in bed.

I suspect that we need to grow people's psychological capacities to enable them to work with Safety-II. Without this, people will be left feeling 'in over their heads' - ie we need transformational learning for Safety-II to thrive, not just informational learning and more skills.

The terrible truth is this: freedom is struggle; freedom is terror; it is the terror of facing pure chaos, the pristine meaninglessness of reality, the vastness of potential, and the weight of the responsibility that follows.

Much blame goes to Rupert Murdoch and Fox News, which turned out to be a crazy powerful force for our planet's destruction. And as always the fossil fuel industry, for buying politicians and (via Heartland Inst.) a select few corrupt ex-scientists to cravenly sow doubt

I don’t know why D pundits are not pushing an entire executive branch reform agenda. The nation has just been given a masterclass in dozens of existential vulnerabilities coming out of the WH. Ds should be making this its top priority after the transition.
