My 86-year-old mother's dishwasher stopped draining in January. I asked her when she had cleaned the filter out last and she looked at me like I had lost my mind. The woman has never cleaned out a dishwasher filter and I believe that's proof that you never need to.

UPDATE: Boats, helicopters, mass casualty response being coordinated by the Baltimore City Fire Department after the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge. The bridge carries I-695 over the Patapsco River south of Baltimore Harbor. Early reports are that an ship hit the bridge causing the collapse. A piece of the bridge is reported resting on the bow of the boat. There is some indication of vehicles in the water. Radio traffic indicates there may have been a warning before the bridge was struck. The Key Bridge was opened in 1977. #baltimore #bridgecollapse #KeyBridgecollapse #KeyBridge
