We're proud and excited to announce that from Saturday 17th October, AMS will be providing a selection of our specialist #AudioDescription commentators for an exciting new service from @SkySports. And we're delighted that @hope_bradley will be getting us underway on the mic for Newcastle v Aston Villa, next weekend. Over the past few weeks, it's been a pleasure working with @SkySports, sharing our experience and discussing the specialist commentary style and approach needed to provide the best possible experience for blind and low vision football supporters. We're equally proud to be contributing some of the finest specialist Audio Description football commentators in the country to their @SkySportsPL coverage. For 20 years, AMS has worked with football clubs to deliver dedicated, in-stadium Audio Description Commentary, helping supporters experience every moment of the action through detailed, accurate and engaging descriptions. Growing our brand to 22 sporting clubs, including 9 teams in the @premierleague Now, we're delighted to see that expertise extending beyond the stadium and into the homes of football supporters across the country. This is another exciting step forward for Audio Description Commentary in football, and we wish everyone involved with the project every success as the service launches this weekend. Alongside Brad, @FitzCorry, @Robert_A_Hayes, @AlanMarch1981 and Jonathan Bell are all scheduled to bring their specialist commentary skills to Sky Sports coverage over the coming weeks. Nine Years. Different Voices. The Same Standards. 🎙️🔴⚪ Sometimes a photograph reminds you just how quickly time moves. The first image was taken in September 2017. @SelbyCommentary and Gunnersaurus at an @ArsenalWFC match. Fast-forward nine years and, on 23 September 2026, there’s @JamesJPPearce (another amazing member of the AMS team) at another Arsenal Women’s matchday and a rather impressive piece of silverware making an appearance too. Nine years of AMS providing matchday announcers for Arsenal Women. A lot has changed in that time. The players have changed. The venues have changed. The crowds have grown. The profile of the women’s game has transformed. And, of course, the people behind the microphone have changed too. But people change. Our standards don’t. Since 2017, we’ve been trusted to provide the matchday announcing voice for Arsenal Women becoming a small but very proud part of the team behind the team. Matchday announcing is about much more than reading names from a team sheet. It’s understanding the event. Knowing when to build the atmosphere and when to get out of the way. Getting the details right. Working with the production and operations teams. Reacting when the running order inevitably changes. And making sure that, whether there are hundreds or tens of thousands of supporters listening, the presentation represents the club properly. That has been our responsibility for nine seasons, and it’s one we have never taken lightly. There have been plenty of memorable moments along the way: big matches, trophies, packed stadiums and the extraordinary development of Arsenal Women and women’s football generally. And behind those moments have been the voices of the people AMS has trusted to deliver them. So this feels like a good opportunity to say thank you to everyone who has represented AMS behind the microphone for Arsenal Women over those nine years, and to the people at Arsenal who have continued to put their trust in us. From Pete Selby in 2017 to James Pearce in 2026… Different people. Different moments. Different chapters. The same commitment to getting it right.
