Fortunately, my family and I are fine and haven’t lost anything, but my neighbors have lost everything, not only material things like their cars, houses or bussiness but also relatives. Heavy rains have caused floods that covered the streets of my city with more than two meters of water. There are over 2,000 missing and countless victims. The parking lots are completely filled with water, the streets are now mud and debris; it’s a disaster what we are experiencing here. The affected neighborhoods are very isolated; many of them are without water or electricity. Government assistance is minimal, which is why these people need us. They need basic necessities such as water, food, shelter, and significant help to clean their homes and streets, which are currently full of mud, destroyed furniture, and cars blocking the roads.
