.@USDA_NIFA has awarded @michiganstateu more than $16.2M to continue renovations of research greenhouses through the Research Facilities Act Program. MSU is providing matching funds to create more than $32.5M in new support for the project.

FFAR is investing $750K in the next phase of the PIG LIVABILITY PROJECT, building on research that identified practical ways to reduce pig mortality.
The @PorkCheckoff and industry stakeholders are providing another $893K, bringing total funding to more than $1.64M for 7 new research projects.

As National Farm Safety and Health Week comes to a close, we're highlighting one example of Purdue Extension's impact. After a local Indiana fire department reached out for help, Extension educators trained 110 firefighters, first responders and emergency personnel on grain bin rescue and confined-space safety.
