Tshwane people WARNING!!!!!
URGENT WARNING: 408 GASTROINTESTINAL ILLNESS CASES IN TSHWANE -CONTAMINATED WATER LINKED TO OUTBREAK Authorities have linked 408 cases of gastrointestinal illness reported between 7 and 18 October 2026 to contaminated water supplied by the City of Tshwane’s Bronkhorstspruit Water Treatment Works. 📍 Affected areas: Zithobeni, Bronkhorstspruit, Dark City, Rethabiseng and Sokhulumi. 🔴 Most patients are children under four years old. No deaths have been reported. 🔴 Laboratory tests detected Norovirus, Campylobacter and Shigella in patient samples. No cholera bacteria were found in the stool samples tested. 🔴 Water tests revealed extremely high levels of E. coli and total coliforms. 🔴 Investigators found that the treatment plant’s water was not chlorinated between 24 September and 14 October because of problems with the chlorine supplier. The water source is also affected by sewage pollution. 🔴 The City of Tshwane closed the plant on 14 October, restored chlorine supplies and reopened it on 16 October, but the water remains unsafe for drinking. 🚱 URGENT WARNING TO RESIDENTS Until further notice, residents in areas supplied by the plant must NOT use tap water for drinking, cooking, bathing, brushing teeth, washing food or clothes -even after boiling. Tap water may only be used for flushing toilets. The City is supplying safe drinking water through tankers, with 36 tankers planned in total. Residents should collect water from these tankers and store it in clean, covered containers. The Water Research Commission is conducting independent tests, with initial results expected from Wednesday. An investigation into the causes of the contamination is due by 28 October. Authorities have initiated accountability measures, while health teams continue monitoring cases and educating communities. The warning remains in force until authorities confirm that the water is safe. @CityTshwane @HealthZA

Initially did my tax returns through TaxTim, then thought I might as well get @Muse to redo it through SARS eFiling for free. It did, and I even got me a tax refund.

A 20-year-old Canadian* lottery winner decides to take $1,000 weekly for life instead of $1,000,000. Would you take 60+ years of counterparty risk that the $1,000 per week remains intact, or the $1,000,000 lump sum? *No tax on lottery winnings in Canada.

A PREVIOUS CASE OF IMPERSONATION OF JUSTICE MADLANGA BY CRIMINALS FROM 2023 So I did a bit of research. We obviously don't know who this Serge is referring to by "a person who sits in front" at the Commission. But I found there's a case in 2023 where Justice Madlanga was impersonated by some unknown individual(s). I didn't know about this but I found it interesting that something like this even happened. This impersonation apparently carried on even when he started chairing the Commission. The criminal impersonation of Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga initially intensified in August 2023. The Office of the Chief Justice (OCJ) issued an official media statement regarding the issue on August 19, 2023. It was later reported that this impersonation resumed in earnest after he was appointed chairperson of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry into Criminality, Political Interference and Corruption in the Criminal Justice System. South Africa Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga again impersonated on WhatsApp The Office of the Chief Justice (OCJ) says it has alerted authorities to a case of impersonation of Constitutional Court judge Mbuyiseli Madlanga. According to the OCJ and subsequent updates from the Madlanga Commission: • The Tactics: Criminals used fraudulent text messages, fake cell numbers, and electronic communications (frequently using his photographs as WhatsApp profile pictures) to pose as Justice Madlanga. • The Targets: The impersonator targeted private citizens, public officials, attorneys, advocates, law enforcement members, and high-profile entities—including senior officials of the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC). • The Objectives: The perpetrators used his name to extort money, solicit bribes, intimidate individuals, extract personal information, threaten attorneys involved in active litigation, and attempt to pressure organs of state into acting against their own interests. These criminals don't sleep. It's even frustrating that we had, have them internally within SAPS!!!! timeslive.co.za/news/south-a…

A fallacy is thinking becoming a member of a Cosatu affiliated union means an affiliation to Cosatu’s political affiliation. Workers in Cosatu unions vote for different members parties. Unions are like churches.

6 days and $40,000 of compute with GPT-5.6 Sol to find a critical vulnerability in Chrome, claiming Google’s first full-chain reward in 2026 for a vulnerability that would affect an estimated 1 billion users. Highlights the opportunity for defenders to utilize these tools to secure their software to unprecedented levels:
For the second time in Google Chrome’s history, Google awarded a $250,000 bounty for a full-chain exploit… to @XBOW. Here’s the full story: At an all-hands at the start of 2026 in Malta, I set the team a crazy challenge. A full-chain exploit of Chrome by the annual Black Hat cybersecurity conference in August. I believed there were few better tests of whether @XBOW could move beyond web applications to desktop software, servers and devices. Chrome is one of the most hardened pieces of software on the planet, used by more than half the world’s population. A full-chain exploit lets an attacker take total control of a machine, where they can read every email, password and bank login the user types. You don’t need to download anything or click a phishing link. Visiting the wrong site is enough. So @moyix, Andres Luksenberg, Baul Lee, and Willem Pinckaers took on the challenge along with a fifth teammate: OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Sol. They built a chain they thought would win, but Google told us they already knew one of the bugs. We were already in Las Vegas for Black Hat and DEF CON, and the team didn’t want to go home without the win. So Brendan and the agents built a new exploit in just 6 days. We submitted it to Google and waited. The news came through that we'd done what should’ve been impossible. A full-chain bounty of $250,000, the first awarded under Google’s 2026 rules. It took just 6 days and $40,000 of compute to construct an exploit that affects a billion users of Chrome on Windows. An intelligence-agency veteran told me his team used to spend 6 months on this kind of vulnerability. My takeaway: the cost of finding truly critical vulnerabilities is collapsing, for attackers and defenders alike. Restricting powerful models is not the answer; GPT-5.6 Sol is already public. But defenders have one advantage attackers never will: they can test their own code first. Assume your software is exploitable. Whoever is hunting your bugs has the same building blocks we did. This is cause for urgency but not panic. XBOW is now developing an autonomous product for testing compiled software (desktop applications, servers, embedded devices), and partnering with the world’s top organizations to design that product. If you’d like to be one of them, get in touch. P.S. Restart Chrome whenever the Update button appears!

Dear Elon, India is a sovereign country, not your personal business project. You run a private company, not a charity. Just because you want to enter the Indian market doesn't mean you get to mock people and lecture India on what it should do. And please stop selling this idea that you are coming to save poor Indians. Starlink is VERY expensive. It's not free internet that you are giving away out of kindness. You are here to do business, just like every other company. So let's not pretend this is some social service. Nobody is stopping you from making an offer. Make it affordable, follow Indian rules, and let the government decide. That's how it works. Please keep attitude in check, you just sell internet. You don't own India.

Jensen Huang just compared managing AI to raising children 😂 The Nvidia CEO says that when you give AI an ambiguous instruction, you can't always predict where it'll go. His solution? Contain it and monitor it. “We do this with employees, children, students…” So basically, AI needs supervision because you never know what it's going to get up to. As a parent, I get it 😅 Writer: Lynn
