No one in the #airpollutiom world wants to talk about the @CleanAirFund & how their money is spent as they’re either desperate for funding from them or receiving trickles or essential cash from them to keep their organisation alive. Such is the way in the world of philanthropy

Less than £10k per year. The @CleanAirFund ‘s annual grant and charitable project spend in 2023 was £19,900,000 - £50,000 of which went to the Conservative Environment Network whatever that is. Their accounts make for very interesting reading.

The @CleanAirFund have actually never given us any funding despite the repeated requests for the relatively measly sums of money required to keep our service going…

Sadly addresspollution.org is now offline.

With the money that @cleanairfund has been awarding the Conservative Party’s Environment Network each year @COPInterest could have run another 3 national #airpollution awareness campaigns of similar impact, whilst keeping our free service alive.More on this insanity to come 10/10

The press continues monthly, with the NHS now listing our #airpollution levels on patients records & our data now used by campaign groups & academics alike. We’re truly gutted that after all the work we’ve put in the service will not continue but there are major running costs /8

AP received @UN accreditation becoming a @UNESCO Green Citizens Project for achievements in public awareness of this invisible killer. It was one of the most awarded awareness campaigns globally in 2022 but all we ever wanted was public awareness & action on #AirPollution /6

We secured funding in 2020 for new data to launch nationwide. After months of our own painstaking analysis we discovered major underporting of #AirPollution levels from our data suppliers, held those responsible to account then re-launched in ‘22. @Channel4News @ITV again… /5

We commissioned the track & music video #Choke by UK rapper @MinisterDrill & got invited on @Channel4News to discuss why people need to know about the air they’re breathing. Our free public service has generated more than 700 news pieces worldwide to date. /4

We ran headline generating billboards across London & eye catching projections onto high profile buildings in polluted areas. More than 1 million #airpollution postcode searches to date ramping up public awareness, understanding and the demand for action /3

Launched off a crowdfunder AP goes on the principle that family+home are paramount: link something to that& people start paying attention. It worked: @thetimes ran it front page & 6 more AP stories that year,then launching their own #CleanAir campaign. We had the nations’ ear /2
