Wowses. Ex Greek finance minister @yanisvaroufakis tells me Suella Braverman should be "expelled" from the UK for starting this "misanthropic, stupid debate" about immigration — that she is a "ridiculous idiot" and a "poor excuse for human nature"😳 unherd.com/thepost/yanis-var…

One of the most sensible takes on ‘cancel culture’ I’ve seen. Sensible, honest, smart. I’m posting the video directly as Times Radio tweeted it with a clickbait and somewhat misleading headline that unintentionally confirmed his point. More of this please.

You are driving a German car to an Italian coffeeshop to drink Brazilian coffee and then going home buying Chinese takeaway to sit on a Swedish sofa in front of a Korean TV to watch U.S. shows and all the while being complain your neighbor is an immigrant. Pull yourself together.

Pierre Poilievre’s strategy of playing an anti-establishment friend of working people is compelling, effective & dangerous. If this fake populist can con his way to power, the elite will have a field day. Our @thebreachmedia video explains his playbook:

The passing of the Queen will lead to new conversations that now is the time for Canada to get rid of the anachronistic monarchy. It will also spark responses that the system works fine and/or is too hard to change anyway. These often seem to be siloed from each other....🧵...

Read this. It makes me sick that she has been treated this way and even sicker to know how common it is. Too many politicians and leaders have stoked this rage and it has to stop. It begins with each of us showing decency, respect, kindness, and support.
1/I have been asked by some people why I haven’t made a public statement about the assault on our Deputy Prime Minister. To be blunt, I had to sit with my thoughts for a couple of days. Because this incident is not isolated & it brings up too much pain. And fear. Yes, fear.

BREAKING: A massive, 50-year study by the London School of Economics finds that a half century of tax cuts for the rich completely FAILED to trickle down to the American working class and middle class — and only made the rich richer. RT TO EXPOSE THE REPUBLICAN TRICKLE-DOWN SCAM!

Just visited with a colleague who moved to Calgary. She mentioned that they were touting how much more they pay teachers than BC. She said she knew but they kept mentioning it. New Teachers in Calgary make ~$12,000 a year more than in #BCEd and ~$10k+ for senior teachers. #bcpoli

Mask wearing is literally the same type of thing as refrigerators, sunscreen, bug spray, spaying your pets, cancer screening, seatbelts. NONE of those things work perfectly all the time. But ALL of them help reduce harms some of the time. Harm reduction is the goal.

Data shows that more families are choosing multigenerational living amid Canada’s housing crisis. Hmm, we wouldn’t say “choosing” is the right word for it…
