On 11/28 a child on his bike was killed by a driver, one of hundreds who will die in car crashes this year in Houston.

These amendments make it illegal for me to ride my personal scooter from my home to my neighborhood grocery store or restaurant after 8 pm. This is poorly thought out and punishes Houstonians like myself who are trying to reduce car traffic. @houmayor @MarioforHouston @HoustonTX – at Houston, TX
This morning, Houston City Council will consider proposed amendments to Chapter 45 of the Code of Ordinances, relating to micro mobility devices (e-scooters) and off-highway vehicles (ATVs).
The proposal establishes a citywide curfew from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. to reduce safety hazards, prevent public nuisances, and align with the City’s long-term vision for a safer and more pedestrian-friendly community.
