Public safety starts with showing up and building trust. Proud to join METRO and local leaders for the unveiling of the new mobile command center at Moody Park. That’s partnership in action, bringing resources closer to our communities and keeping our neighborhoods & parks safe.

Two rail-related incidents in one month demand action. We must keep pushing for safer crossings, stronger pedestrian infrastructure, and greater accountability to protect our neighborhoods.

North Lindale residents raised concerns about repeated street flooding, so we went out to see it firsthand. We found a gap in the drainage system causing water to back up. That same week, Houston Public Works was on site making the fix. Listen. Show up. Find solutions.

Montrose has long been a place where LGBTQ+ found belonging. These banners honor those who fought for progress and acceptance and those who aren’t here to see where we stand today. Grateful to everyone who made this happen, including @houmayor, who personally paid for them.
