Redact PII and Customer data using a local model and attach a unique identifier to each workflow that you can use to match back up to the specific customer/workflow. This is what I’m doing with legal and health clients.

That's a solid setup! Scrubbing the data locally before anything touches AI is the step most firms skip. Respect!

Fair point! Even losing just the folks who only paid because it was a hassle would sting on supermarket margins. Feels like the move is making done-for-you so easy that DIY isn't worth the bother.

Sounds like a great use case for AI! Do you have guardrails in place on the tax side? How do you keep client data private, and what's your human approval process?

Somewhere a hillbilly named Cooter just heehawed out loud 🤘🏻

That makes sense! One place the whole team can see beats a buried email every time. Do your clients actually log in and check it, or do you still end up chasing them?

Respect for putting the whole story out there. Most owners I know waited longer than they needed to. What finally made you pull the trigger at 34?

Hiring for cleaning is tough because the work is easy to explain and hard to do well. Before the next hire, write down what a perfect clean looks like room by room so they aren't learning from scratch. What broke down when it stopped running?

Two things can be true. AI empties the too hard bucket, and most customers still don't want to do it themselves. They want it done right by someone they trust. Are you seeing that more on the supermarket side or the storage side?

Sunday work feels different when it's your own thing (I get it). How much of that screen time is scheduling, quotes and host messages, versus the stuff only you can do?

Smart to try something different in a market full of door knockers. What happens right after someone plays it? A same-day call or text back is where a fun idea turns into a booked inspection.

AI is pretty solid at sorting the routine transactions now. I'd still have a person check anything that needs context the bank feed doesn't have. Are you doing the books yourself right now, or with a bookkeeper?

As an owner, a short heads-up before something's due, in plain English, beats a perfect report I have to decode. And if you need something from me, tell me exactly what and by when. Do most of your clients want that by text or email?

Number 1 is the big one. Being the boss means you decide how people get treated, and you also decide what they shouldn't have to waste their time on. What's the first thing you changed once it was your call?
Replying to @carlsoncpa @JTPellsCPA
Hard agree on garbage in, garbage out. AI is fast at a first draft and has no idea what it doesn't know, which is exactly where 40 years of experience earns its keep. What part of the practice got faster first?

Sales jumping like that in six weeks is a great problem to have (and also exactly how install backlogs start). Are you covering installs with subs while you hire, or pushing the schedule out a few weeks?

Skill issue. Worktrees should be treated as ephemeral.

Not sure you understand how medical emergencies work but usually standing over and breathing heavy doesn’t work. Medical personnel are trained (and allowed) to create safe working spaces. If you can’t distinguish the difference between assault and medical staff doing her job… you have much bigger problems.
