We just got our first vehicle wraps 😎
We designed them pretty clean with our original logo. Josh and I decided to make some small adjustments. Make the green a bit brighter, enlarge the Raven, remove the brown color we had before so it pops better.
I’m stoked with how they turned out!
So far, we’ve received a lot of positive feedback 🤞🤞🤞
I got bronchitis, took a few days off work, and accidentally wrote my short form autobiography
Anyway, here's 5,000 words on why it took me 34 years to start a roofing company and some thoughts around entrepreneurship.
When you build a community that supports you. When you have a message that is clear. When you do what you say you’re going to do. When you actually care.
Today is one of those days where you truly enjoy business and what life brings.
True challenge has brought me more happiness than I can ever imagine through the grit and turmoil.
The relationships, the 15 hours days, the good and bad.
Today, we made a decision to help a customer out when we didn’t have too.
Their response that they gave was indicative to the effort and intention we put into this and it feels incredible.
Just hit 2 million in revenue before finishing our first year.
11 months and 7 days from our first job.
Big hats off to @irentdumpsters @andywalkerhq @jarydesign at Stryker. They told us what to do, went out into the world and followed their advice.
We are a team of 9 now.
Moral of the story:
Don’t invest in private equity 🤑
Chris Camillo says he would be worth $700,000,000 if he hadn't invested in 160 private companies and had traded with the money instead…
“I've invested in 160 private companies, which was the biggest mistake of my life”
“I'd be like 6 or $700,000,000 now if I would have just kept the money in the brokerage account”
Some general self talk I have daily
1.) The more you do, the more you can do. Keep going. Move with decisiveness and push forward. You build your capacity by doing.
2.) Sacrifice short term satisfaction every day. What you want now is often in the way of what you actually want.
3.) You will often be seen as selfish because other people cannot see your end goal, and often they do not have the patience to hear it or understand it. That is okay. Keep going.
4.) You do not need everyone to understand what you are doing. Listen to people, take criticism seriously, but make your own decisions. You are the one who has to live with the outcome.
5.) I am the master of my fate. I am the captain of my soul. Don’t make excuses.
