It's AGM season!
Look back on the year, set our goals for the next, and elect a whole new branch committee
As usual we'll be there half an hour early for food and a catch up, the bar will be open, so join us for a celebration of all we've achieved, and all we're going to!

Liverpool City Council is running a consultation on the next Landlord Licensing Scheme
Landlords are taking part, so renters need to as well!
The consultation closes on Monday, so we've put together a guide to make it easy, you will find it below and in our bio!

Have you heard the one about the landlord who tried to illegally evict an ACORN member and reposses all their belongings, on the day they were due to move out anyway, for the sake of one single hour? 🧵
That is, until ACORN sounded the alarm, scrambling members from across North Liverpool and Bootle, and forced the landlord to return possession. Our members then helped load the van, making sure everything and everyone was moved out safely 💪
Section 21 may now be banned, but thousands of renters are still living with a last minute notice hanging over their heads

🚨 Today we took the fight to those who are profiting from the cost of living crisis at our expense. Water companies, energy giants, bailiffs & property tycoons. Coordinated actions in 9 regions across 2 countries. These profiteers think they’re untouchable, but they’re not.
Wish there was somebody out there who would organise against these rip off utility companies trousering huge profits and not investing in infrastructure?
ACORN is that somebody!

Acorn Liverpool and @AcornManchester went for a nice stroll around Warrington this morning
To demand a meeting with @unitedutilities over their sky high bills and bailiff use
They came prepared with police and private security, but they did agree to arrange a meeting 🤝
