Quest 1 Complete. 1,000× AI inference speedup. In under two weeks, engineers worldwide competed on ChipForge (SN108) to design working AI accelerators. One leading NPU achieved over 1,000× speedup against RISC-V Core in benchmark simulations. This is decentralized chip design in action. Quest 2 is next. And we're aiming higher. #Bittensor #SN108

Everyone's fighting over data center GPUs. Meanwhile the AI chips that actually ship in volume go into phones, cameras, sensors and wearables. That's the market ChipForge is aiming at: an open NPU, built in public, proven on MLPerf Tiny. Live Oct 16, 9 AM EST. Go build.
The ChipForge NPU Challenge goes live tomorrow, October 6, at 9 AM EST AI is no longer limited to the data center. Intelligence is moving into everyday devices: the phones, cameras, sensors and wearables around us. This is edge AI, and it runs on a small, efficient chip called an NPU (neural processing unit). Until now, designing one has taken large teams and large budgets. ChipForge opens this work to everyone. The challenge: design an AI accelerator chip and the software that runs it. How every design is judged: - It runs real AI models from MLPerf Tiny, the industry-standard benchmark for edge AI chips, covering voice, vision and sensor tasks. - Every result is checked bit for bit against the official reference. Only exact answers count. - Performance and chip area are measured with professional chip design tools. Miners compete to build the fastest and most efficient design. Validators run the same open evaluator, so every result can be reproduced. The best designs are rewarded, and each new winner has to clearly beat the last. The result is an open edge AI chip that gets better with every round. It's the first step on our path from open competition to real hardware. Live tomorrow. Start building.

Upcoming Beam integration: @openclaw . Beam is building an OpenClaw skill that will give agents access to Beam’s programmable data movement and streaming capabilities. Deeper integration with Beam Rooms & Tunnels is also coming, enabling agents to connect with private resources, streams, applications and compute through Beam. This integration will also be live alongside the Beam Studio release, giving users a direct way to bring OpenClaw into Beam-powered workflows from day one. Caught up with @Nic_B1m from Beam SN 105 (@b1m_ai ) to talk about everything bandwidth + Bittensor. We got into what Beam is building with Subnet 105, why bandwidth matters for decentralized infrastructure, and where this whole thing could go. Really good conversation FULL POD BELOW! $TAO

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. C-Beams, launching plug-n-play skill competitions for workflows, glittering in the dark ... All these things will never be lost, like tears in the rain, because of integration with Hippius SN75 storage. Time to fly.
Use-cases on Beam will be endless. Plug-and-play skills competition and marketplace. Stay tuned.

Beam is getting ready to open up to the world. We’ve spent months building, testing and pushing the network. Now it’s time to let teams build with it. Tunnels, Actions, Broadcasting and more will all be available. We’ll break down what each of these function does over the coming weeks. Join the waitlist for early access. ⚡️ b1m.ai/join

Beam Tunnels are coming. Any local machine or private server can become reachable through the Beam network, without opening inbound ports or directly exposing the machine to the public internet. Local → Cloud Private → Private Private → Public Machine → Machine And with private AI routers (like @say_gm_), tunnels can become agent-enabled, allowing agents to securely reach and move data across infrastructure. S3, R2, Hippius, private servers, local machines and more. We think this opens a lot of interesting possibilities. ⚡ b1m.ai SN105 #Bittensor

SN105 is probably one of the most under appreciated subnets building within the Bittensor ecosystem. $TAO. Currently sitting at a 3M MC. Whilst everyone is obsessing over GPUs, power grids, the real bottleneck strangling AI in 2026 is something nobody is talking about. Bandwith. Billions of dollars of GPU clusters are sitting idle right now. Not starving for electricity. Not starving for chips. Starving for data. In the most simplistic explanation, imagine trying to drain a swimming pool through a straw. That's what's happening to AI right now. Terabytes of data are stuck moving through pipes that can't keep up. And that is what @b1m_ai are tackling. A decentralised bandwidth network. Instead of routing through three centralised clouds, Beam taps unused bandwidth from homes, offices and datacentres worldwide and pays it out in $TAO Verifiable data transfer with incentives tied to actual delivery. Real performance. And it's already working and on par with the centralised giants. Extremely underappreciated subnet, tackling a 500B industry which I haven't actually come across in this space, with the backing of YumaGroup. Bandwidth isn't a narrative people understand yet, everyone is still chasing the GPU and energy stories. Nobody has connected the dots that none of it matters if the data can't move efficiently. taostats.io/subnets/105
It's time to start talking to your data pipelines. Beam Studio is turning data movement into something programmable, where transfers, storage, and infrastructure can be orchestrated through a simple interface, all powered by Beam SN105 on #Bittensor. Beam Studio launches Q3/Q4 2026 ... Stay tuned.

Introducing Beam Tunnels, coming to Beam Studio. We've proven fast decentralized transfers across R2, S3, and now Hippius. But not every dataset lives in object storage. Many organizations keep their data on-prem, in private data lakes, or in internal data warehouses. Think of Beam Tunnels as Ngrok on #Bittensor but with programmability. Built into Beam Studio, Beam Tunnels securely expose private infrastructure to the Beam network, making it easy to move data between: On-Prem ↔ R2 ↔ Hippius ↔ S3 ↔ Anywhere... (↔ = Beam) Another step toward making Beam the programmable bandwidth layer on Bittensor. More to come. ⚡

Another major milestone for Beam SN105. We've successfully completed our first decentralized subnet-to-subnet data transfer: Cloudflare R2 → Beam → Hippius 107GB transferred in ~6 minutes. For comparison, 107GB R2 → R2 currently averages around 30 seconds. There's still significant optimization ahead, and we'll continue working closely with the Hippius team to improve performance. This integration is much bigger than a benchmark. It's another building block in Beam's long-term vision to become the programmable bandwidth layer for Bittensor, connecting subnets, storage providers, AI workloads, and enterprises through a decentralized data network. More to come. ⚡️ #Bittensor #AI #Infrastructure #DePIN @hippius_subnet b1m.ai SN105

AI consumes massive Storage and Bandwidth. These are the 'shovels' of the intelligence gold rush. Subnets Beam (bandwidth) and Hippius (storage) provide the lowest cost 'shovels' by FAR. Now they're integrated. Bittensor is stitching all of the pieces together.
Subnet Integration Update: This week, Beam Transfer Studio begins testing its native Hippius connector. Transfers running on Beam will support data movement between R2 <-> Hippius <-> R2, bringing decentralized storage directly into Beam's programmable bandwidth network. Another step toward making Beam the interoperability layer for AI and enterprise data. #Bittensor #AI #DePIN #Storage SN105 b1m.ai @hippius_subnet
