Even if there were jobs there are 3 issues: 1. Autistic & ADHD people need to be offered jobs 2. Interviews are done wrong for autistic people 3. Most people, especially managers, are scared of autism.
Even if all the kids diagnosed with autism and ADHD theoretically could work in later life with the right support, the problem is twofold. Firstly, there are no jobs anyway, not even for every nondisabled neurotypical person who needs one, and secondly a significant proportion society don't seem to want to fund the required in-work help. In other words, they can't win.

“You don’t seem like you have ADHD” thank you I have spent approximately 30 years developing an elaborate system of severe anxiety and self-punishment to achieve this result.

It’s funny as a 90 second video, but it’s really debilitating when this is your life 24/7

This fucking sucked in elementary and middle school because I was unmedicated so I would always forget my homework in my desk at school 😭

It's my opinion that a lot of ADHD people actually do this "on purpose", just unconsciously, because pressure is one of the only things that works when the motivation isn't there.
I've never developed a decent work ethic. I learned very early that if you procrastinate everything and make yourself sick with guilt and anxiety the day of important exams and due dates, God recognizes your suffering and throws you a bone.

The painfully real neurodivergent experience of saying “I can’t keep doing this” and hearing “but you’re doing soo well.” Yes. You’re watching the performance. I’m living the recovery.

everybody can have this sorta thing happen in their lives, but it's a problem (ie. a disorder) when its frequency and magnitude are higher than of a neurotypical person. ADHD has lots of this, and what finally made me seek out help and ultimately find/get my AuDHD diagnosis

ND/ADHD people have very powerful, long-term memory recall, however our short-term memory is shot. We are also basically incapable of learning/remembering things that don’t have some kind of association to something else. Nothing registers unless or until it actually means something. Layers here

This is why I stopped saying "If it was important I'd remember" or "they'd remember" because with adhd you just cant remember, even if its important

Carl Jung wasn’t wrong when he said that if a man does not face his shadow by age 35 he will not improve. He will calcify. His defense will become his personality.

All children regardless of sex benefit from safe and controlled rough-housing and risk taking. Play wrestling with a parent for example massively improves emotional self regulation in the child. A lot of girls don't get this and people wonder why they're insane by middle school.
I had no idea little boys were such BOYS. Toddler absolutely loses his marbles if he doesn’t get his daily dose of roughhousing sometime between the hours of 6 and 7pm each day.

some of you guys gotta stop thinking some women wear hijab "because of men" no. we don't wear hijab because of men. we wear hijab because Allah told us so in the Quran. it is our religious identity
"why are you wearing the hijab to appease men" idgaf about no man bro, I just find it comfy (and it's a nice part of my religious identity while also making me feel less vulnerable, like an extra piece of armor of sorts). Buncha weirdos think we couldn't think for ourselves 😒

Philosophers like Plato and Aristotle have no chains of narrators, yet their words are conveyed and accepted unquestioningly. While scholars like Bukhari and Muslim meticulously preserved hadith through thousands of narrators, yet authentic hadiths are questioned.

This is exactly backwards. 99% of the time, your kids should be eating what YOU eat, not vice versa.
I’d be perfectly fine with this

All this gender war stuff is cute when you are single, but the second you get a child of the opposite sex, it becomes mandatory upon you to learn about the struggles of the opposite sex. If you're a man and you have a daughter, you have to educate yourself on the struggles of growing up as a woman. If you're a woman who has a son, you have to educate yourself on the struggles of growing up as a man.

It seems a lot of the things we were told growing up do not apply to autistic people ugh
As an autistic child, I used to think being kind to everyone meant they’d reciprocate. Turns out, many neurotypicals will be nice to everyone else EXCEPT the autistic person, no matter how kind you are to them. There’s literally nothing you can do.
