Ghosts: The Possession Of Button House is brilliant.

This customer review for a launderette has been ... awkwardly shortened in preview. I hope.

9 million people watched The Celebrity Traitors (near or) live on BBC One last night. Commission a programme people actually want to watch, schedule it well and don't pre-release it as a streaming box set, and those huge viewings numbers are still very attainable.

A massive ten million last night. 60% of the total television audience at the time. It's really not difficult to understand.

Terry-Thomas is largely remembered for his suave womanising persona in a raft of cinema hits, but long before that he was instrumental in defining what comedy could be and do on television. It didn't mean a happy relationship with the BBC though... comedy.co.uk/features/comedy…

The incompetence of the state knows no bounds. Roll it back. Deregulate everything.

Look at the character in that studio set. Studio sitcom is often maligned now but they do a much better job of looking and feeling different to each other than single camera sitcoms.
BBC Television Centre, 26 Oct 1974: Harry H Corbett, Wilfrid Brambell record the last STEPTOE AND SON, a Christmas Special (fittingly with an upbeat ending for Harold). Corbett was 49; Brambell 62. They continued to work together on radio adaptations, variety tours, TV ads.

"BIG QUESTION. EVEN BIGGER ANSWER. What has the BBC ever done for me?" Cancelled my favourite shows.

Netflix is considering adding always-on TV channels, like ones that play shows or movies from the same genre, similar to what Tubi and Peacock does. vulture.com/article/netflix-…
