Putting this here as a reminder of the journey...how far I have come, because it's easy to forget in the middle moments.
Tech stack keeps increasing, to include SQL, and very soon fully MERN + aws. We keep moving!
Happy New Year, folks!
Here's to a fruitful 2023🥂🥂

I encountered a N + 1 query problem in one of the projects I maintain.
A script that previously finished in under 30 seconds suddenly took more than 8 minutes to run!
Here is the story of how I solved it: lnkd.in/erpxDbEm

Episode 3 helped us decode the repo.
@AYK_dev showed how to read and contribute confidently to open source projects — no more repo confusion.

Been doing amazing work with the GoodDocs project on documentation templates for nearly 2 years 🥹
Now speaking at #OSCAFest25 on how templates can shape or sabotage your documentation strategy.
Let’s make structure serve your writers, not cage them.
See you next Saturday!💃
Me too! @bettyalagwu was so articulate, I had a key takeaway--If you are building a software product, intentional system architecture is your friend from Day One. Big vision? Think microservices over monoliths—it will save you headaches later

Favorite session? "Engineering at Scale: How Mono Handles Millions of Requests Across Microservices" by @bettyalagwu. She made it fun, engaging, and super insightful, I learned so much in just 25 minutes! 🙌
Big thanks to @IkegahRuth for the free ticket ❤️ and PROSPER
Yes, amazing session indeed! We had a great group brainstorming session on how to better onboarding for projects. We also had a good laugh about funny onboarding stories!😁 @VictoryBrown_ is a great speaker!

Open source should welcome everyone—but barriers still exist for people with disabilities.
Join the panel at #chaossconafrica2025 with @ToriaNnenna , @MyLifeAsYiga , @iam_radioeagle and @nwa_nduka to explore what true inclusion looks like and how we can build it together.

Thank you so much @IkegahRuth 😍. I love love working with you too! Up for more!❤️
I remember with fondness this post I wrote on Twitter two years ago — it was at #OSCAFEST23. I had shown up simply trying to figure out my next career move. I left, however, with inspiration and a renewed passion to become the best version of myself.
,👇👇🧵
One day, very soon, I will write about how this very moment in space and time @oscafest #oscafest23 was a final push to run after my wildest imaginations, to dare to be the very best of me and to chase the me I see in my mind everyday. Coming back in 04 to tell my story.
We will be learning from industry leaders, building powerful connections, and exploring new directions in open source and tech.
Whether you are just starting out or looking for your next big move, OSCAFEST might be the turning point you didn't know you needed. Join us!
